a dozen!!?!? Im lucky, I only have one. Cops in So Cal dont seem to care about speeding much. I floored it yesterday on the way home from work at a stoplight, with a police car just a couple cars back, and he didnt seem to care at all. I think I was doing 60 in a 45 zone.

The 60 freeway once you get out of LA is pretty good traffic wise, and lots of people drive at least 85 on it.

So you must be one of the guys that prompted the speed cameras - lol

Ouch - 6 months in prison for talking on a cell phone, I don't know if I'd speed out there. Movie line from Office Space - "Watch your cornhole bud."

This goverment we have are the worst but it is through but i don`t why i have to pay 10bd if caught by police or over 100bd if caught by speed camera. And if you caught over 160km/h you go tojail and fine for getting out and pay fine to get your car. Stupid rules. Actually after putting their speed cameras more accident happend. So, more speed cameras more accidents. Also, the Dodge Charger R/T which has top speed of 250km/h fitted with camera in dashboards.

Got mine up to 150 over the weekend........Punched it at 75, took the foot off the pedal briefly at 120, in what seemed like a split second, because of what I thought was po po, then punch it again........I swear I thought it shifted at 140, then made a steady climb towards 150...........It definitely had more, but came up on traffic...........Rock solid, super smooth..........I think it can do at least 165 if you have the space...........

Yes , they are limited to 155mph but you can take the ECU to tuning shop and remove the speed limit.

Really? That doesnt seem right. I got up to 159mph on my spedometer twice... And that is in a M35 not the 45.

Next time I go up there hopefully my friend will be in the car again and I can have him take a quick picture of the dash guages

You guys are all so cool driving that fast. One day (I wish this on no one) something minor could happen to either your car or someone elses car and at that speed there is nothing you can do except wait till you stop dead or alive! I know some of you guys are still a bit young and are living fearless but please take these speeds off-road (Race Track) so you don't kill someone else.

EDIT: BTW driving fast on a hwy with little or no traffic on your side doesn't mean you can't kill someone. What if you hit a barrier and flip over to the other side?

I travel a lot and come home usually pretty late (2 or 3am) so I have tried this a few times.

My car REFUSES to go over 130. I didn't know we had a limiter? My Maxima was scary as hell at that speed, but the M is great. Won't do any more though. It just stops climbing.

2007 M35x. This was done at a race track in the middle of night. A friend of mine let me in.

Any idea why I can't do more than 130 at the track then? Is it because I'm in Manual mode?

Weird. I had the same issue in my 1999 Maxima SE which was supposed to do upwards of 140. I managed 136 on that car with the help of a hill, otherwise I would typically top out at 125 on a flat surface.

I have seen some serious and deadly accidents from my days riding on my 2-wheelers...I still wonder why I havent stopped doing it myself! I did get rid of my bikes though, so that's a plus. Now that I got my M45 sport I want to take care of it and keep it for a long time so I actually am slowing it down...
:ohno: saw a deadly accident last night along 59 north service road of the eastex fwy. in Houston. Little nissan pickup ate it against the wall coming out of a neighborhood street into the service road..looked like he never tried to turn onto the road just went straight into the fwy wall!
I'm definately slowing it down a bit...

Coming back from Canada on NY thruway. No traffic, dry roads, hit 135mph. Backed-off and ran a constant 110mph for about an hour. When I had to back down to 70mph for traffic I thought I was doing 30mph. Don't know about the new M's but my old 2004 M45 I have to be watching closely. That bad boy has a tendency to climb up from 70mph into triple digits. Didn't have the stones to let it it keep going, but there was pedal left. I have also knocked off some hot Mustangs and BMW's on the Merritt. The literally have no idea what just pulled away from them at 70mph on up to the 120's. Not too many 2003-2004 M's left. Love it. What a sleeper.

Hope I catch you on the Merritt some day.... Next time I'm up that way it will probably be Spring.

Tickets are incredibly easy to get out of :) Doesnt usually matter if they have you on radar for a mile clocked at 100+, still easy. Both my friend and I together have a combined total of 10 tickets in 2 years (me only 3), neither of us have any points on our record. The fastest my friend got pulled over was 135. The highway patrol got SOOO pissed during that trial he actually stormed out of the courtroom during the trial. The judges dont seem very happy either :/

Sorry, not on a forum with some cops and on a thread with over 29,000 views. If I start sharing all the tricks about it then pretty soon it will be quite hard to get out of tickets.
