That is what i have on my car. just a 2 and a 1/2 inch exhaust, and i just installed a FIPK from K&N, i didnt notice a big difference but i could feel it a little bit, it seemed to help out the ka in the higher rpms, which is important for such a low rpm engine. But thats just my 2 cents

Yes, yes, I know. Wood is kind of ghetto, but there just isn't that much room under the hood. The only real space I had to begin with I used up mounting the NOS parts. I am using the space/ bolt holes left over from the removed AIV. That's where the wood comes in. Will have an update in a couple of days.

wood is ligher too.:D

look at your stock pulley... it will have white timing marks... make sure the ASP pulley you recieve has those marks on it. Mine didnt. So now to time my engine i need to put a stock pulley back on... time it ... then put the lightened pulley back on. it sucks.

no clue why mine didnt have the marks on it... i would have returned it but that WAS a return.. (they sent me a mustang pulley the first time) so i didnt feel like going through it all again.

If you want serious noticable immediate powergain from exhaust go with a header. After that you can open up the back some more. This by far gave me the biggest proven "track" gain. Not "feels like". Improved my quarter by a full second.

theres no way you will run a full second fast 1/4 mile with just header upgrade. im not saying that you didnt but it definatley had better track conditions and driver skill to get a full second better with just a header

yeah you're right it wasn't a FULL second my bad. I forget how much those hundreths really count 17.3 -16.5 I don't really know how much my driving improved. Since my Camaro is an auto I'm stilling learning this whole shifting realm- love me some torque :ylsuper but I'm trying really really hard to come up with any other upgrades - I had K&N filter........ maybe just MAYBE the turbo cherry bomb muffler

anyways I'm not making this up. it looks like my numbers just fell in line w/ other 240's stock numbers so my engine is a dog to begin with :help

oh, your talking about a camaro. i've heard camaros get really good gains with bolt ons so thats possible but i dont think you will get much more than a couple tenths off your time with headers on the KA.

if you're still learning standard tho that would explain for the slightly slower times:)

turboka37 no I'm talking about my 240 Maybe Poatree is right about the learning curve but I've just discovered what cluth slipping is and believe this to be my main downfall. I will replace with a centerforce and see if this helps my time any-

PS do you HAVE to automatically replace the master and slave cylinder when you do a clutch replacement? PLEASE let me know thx

YRUSOSLO, no you don't, just pressure plate, clutch disk, and throw-out bearing.

My MSD is in and the initial impression is great. the ECU will need to recalibrate, so I will have an update later.I promised some of you some pics of the install, so go to the member's rides photos and look for niznos and you'll see some. Sorry my underhood is not that pretty for the most part.

Niznos, I was wondering if you ran the MSD coil alone before you installed the box. I was reading in a different thread that doesn't do so well on its own. Just curious what your opinion was.

YRUSOSLO, good luck on the clutch, and thanks for the compliment.

ShadowKnight006, yes I did run the Blaster 2 by itself for quite a while. Truthfully, I didn't notice any difference with it. I bought it as part of a fix for a low RPM miss a long while back, and really I didn't expect much from it by itself. I was already planning on the entire MSD install (though it ended up taking a long time until it actually happened), so I figured what the hell, why not?

Progress report on the MSD: I am quite pleased with how it runs and it does everything it claims to do: slightly better power all around, better throttle responce, clean starting, and smooth running, but the better mileage remains to be seen since I haven't gone through a couple of tanks yet. Haven't ran NO2 with it yet, but I suspect it will rock too.

mine has a 3 inch pacesetter exhaust, no cat, stock exhaust manifold, k&n filter all of which it had when i got the car. but i put on an accel coil whick made it run smoother, msd made it even smoother and noticable power in the higher rpms, more smother acceleration at full throttle. i fabricated a strut tower brace which stiffend up the front end considerably and ST sway bars are on their way from summit hope to get those on by next weekend for an auto x ill be sure to report on those
