I have them on my car. They fit pretty good cept the Stock 02 housing is close to the sterring shaft. McKinney has Rb20 mounts that they are making now. Not sure if they are ready for sale but they clear the 02 housing for the RB20 real nice.

If you are using them for the RB20, you should be ok...that is what they were designed for. On the RB25 there is no trans mount (last I heard) andthere are still a couple issues with installation.

I have a 1990 240sx with these mounts, they are good so far! They line up very precisely, we learned its best to drop the front crossmember and hook up the mounts entirely then raise the engine up. (after hours of doing it the other way till we got everything to line up) IF you have an S13 and are getting the RB20DET they work. Dont expect your S14 with RB25 to work on them. The engine looks like it belongs there it was just a bugger to line up correctly. 10 minutes to roll the engine-trans up to the car and lower it in, 5 hours to get all the mount bolts to line up. Bolt the mounts on with the crossmember out and you will have less stress.

I usually put the engine from the top and the trans form the bottom after, but you STILL end up dropping the crossmember to get to the bolts on the top of the trans.

The mounts work fine, E&E Motorsports, used them on a 89 HB, they did a rb20 swap, and a widebodykit, and they worked perfect, no clearance problems at all, I know the stock DP won't work, they did a custom one, and it was fine. Mike over at Tophat does awesome work, he builds his own mounts. The engine mounts work on a rb25 not the transmission ones though.

people dont realize how incredibly easy it is to unbolt the entire suspension, xmember, and steering rack, with an impact wrench it takes a whole 10-20 minutes max... SO much time saved from trying to get it in from the top... but hey whatever floats it

Tophat mounts fit perfect, stock downpipe and everything. tons of clearance in front, back, steering column, ect. and the car drives smooth as glass, theres no vibrations or anything. He makes a great mount kit for the RB20.

It's a good mount kit. Not a great mount kit. Mine is too close to the steering shaft for comfort. Mckinneys clears it with alot of room vs a few inches.

I dropped my RB20 in from the top, and plan on bolting in the transmission from underneath, and the engine tilts enough backward that I SHOULD be able to bolt it in just fine w/o lowering the crossmember at all...I'll let you know.
