Wes, I know exactly how you feel.. Everytime I talk to this one guy he tries to talk me into getting an SR for my 240 instead of building the KA which I have already started working on because "I would rather start with a factory turbo motor than a factory NA" It dosent matter if you are replacing everyting anyway. Whenever a conversation comes up about fast cars, I always bring up your Q..It is just too impressive to leave out.. The only thing I dont like about it is the front end.. I think its where it flattens out right above the bumper. But noone thinks that a 4-door Infiniti like a Q45 can be fast. Thats kinda like my Maxima.. '98 5-spd. My little brother was following me last night in his '95 240sx and I pulled out on the highway and ran to about 4k at 1/2 throttle or somewhere around there (it starts to misfire after 1/2). Anyway, he called me and asked if that was all the max had because he had his 240 wide open and running about 7k before shifting just barely keeping up, and his car runs better than any 240 I have driven. There is just something to be said about the way Nissan makes cars..and noone understands the passion that Nissan guys have for their cars.. That is why I like it here (NICO) so much, almost everyone understands this.
On the Jeep topic, I drove the newer (95,6,7 something like that) Cherokee with the AWD V8 and I liked it.. It handled VERY nicely...better than I would ever expect a Jeep to handle and had very good power down low. If I could find one at the right price I would probably buy one. Although I have heard that the Full time AWD Jeeps have bad problems with the transfer cases...
Buick.. The 2-door sports car they had I think was pretty cool, I havent seen one in a while but the Grand National is PURE SECKS!!! I love that car.. I wish I could find one...at a decent price...I saw one at the local drag strip one night with a 4 speed I think.. Didnt even give it 100% throttle until halfway down the track (1/8 mile) and still almost lost it. I was amazed! My uncle had one a long time ago.. I never got to ride in it though..it was history before I got in this world.
Wow, that was long....
