As I said in the other thread, I'll try not to be patently offensive, but people looking for a reason to be pissed usually find what they're looking for.

(...come to think of it, that "favorable light to unfavorable people" might come in handy someday...) ;)

Don't blame the goalpost when your kick sails wide left. Your example failed, and that's not an ad hominem attack. See, an ad hominem attack would be if I belittled you SOLELY to invalidate your argument.

Example: "R/T's position on this matter is ludicrous - he never even graduated high school!"

What I did was point out the fallacy in your example.
