Hey fellas, i found a supplier for Tomei cams and he has them IN STOCK!!! I have already bought a set of 260's and 270's, they are the Poncams which means they have a lift of 8.8mm. Get in while he still has them since we all know Tomei are out of the CA cam business.

seen quite a few posts of folks continuously purchasing Tomei CA18 stuff... on nico, sxoc & ns.com.This thread had cams for $640 shipped (to oz/nz only I'd guess). Same vendor.http://www.nissansilvia.com/fo...83288See others there also

do ya homework on shipping. Some can be very reasonable, others will rape you.Our starion clubmember regularly import 2.6 MPI intake manifolds from austrailia for last 5 years

Well if your guys are keen on them then you would send a message to the guy asking how much shipping to the US would be.

i know this is an old thread, but i did some searching as well.

i talked to the sales rep at FRsport yesterday about the Tomei Cams and this is what he had to say.

FRSportSales (6:18:52 PM): if ordered now, tomei parts from japan normally come within 4 weeks FRSportSales (6:19:02 PM): if it's in stock with tomei, it's 1-3 days to get

he said the have the Poncams in stock. I didn't ask about anything for solid lifters or anything, but im sure its either instock, or can be ordered like the cams like he said.

I am in Japan and I cannot get Tomei cams. I call up there every so often and they never have them. I think they just stopped making them and don't have the nuts to admit it. If you find some snap em up. If I can't find any my 264/9.5 Trust cams will have to do.

they tell me everything is out of stock. They still have it in the catalog though but the prevailing evidence suggests they stopped making them. If you want them JUN has told me they will fire up the lathe and make them a set at a time. It will take a month or two but they will do it.

list price, about $500 each at least at the current crappy yen rate.http://www.junauto.co.jp/produ....html?

I tried to get a group buy going but came up dissapointed.zerothread?id=285657

I would still be willing to be the focal point for a Jun cam group buy but I doubt the demand is there.

I think the JDM cams are waay overpriced and I believe we'd all be better off going locally-made regrinds/welded-cams... Its just a matter of having the initiative (not to mention the $$$) to get this done...

I believe Tomei hydraulic cams work out to ~$460 per pair usd.Very EZ to see if FRsport will deliver

In addition to a handful here got 'em in the past, check out sxoc project pages and you see people STILL getting new Tomei cams in the box.

xris from ns.com replaced his 270s with some 260 solids from Tomei not long ago. He said he ordered them, a few weeks later put down solid dyno numbers with his 20G

one off-build CA18 recently put down solid numbers with very impressive torque using a controversial chinese turbo. Owner told me he ran inexpensive CA18 256 degree/ 8.9 lift regrinds with stock springs to achieve that!

Two different profiles used in impressive starion SOHC 2L (non-us version), regrinds by the very same company. Based on the results, I'd try them in a heartbeat. If they're still available I'll definitely grab a CA18 pair to try out when I get the starion cams

So there is hope of alternative cams for the CA18. We shouldn't have to put up with this 'limited/no availability' bull**** ....NOR... should good proven cams be expensive. It is only a matter of someone taking the initiative to get the RIGHT company involved. Ask the DSM guys

They need to concentrate on those pesky thrust bearings
