yeah, cnichols, I've seen him post here a few times. I'm not knocking the tokicos, but I'm sure you can understand my bitterness after putting my springs in the closet for about a month and a half, sitting here, researching shocks, hearing everyone say good things about gr2's and seeing them for cheap, but opting to go buy the more expensive tokicos (not the most expensive) and then having one blow on me after 2 days? Yeah, I'm a little peeved, and I don't think I would recomend these shocks to anyone after my experience with them. Oh well, I'll give them the benifit of the doubt, and just assume I got a lemon. Just be extra, EXTRA cautious when driving around, and always drive safely.

peace

The thing is, I probably won't be installing them myself since I don't know how. How much would it cost to have them installed? Also, will I need an alignment with both installations (shocks and springs) if I choose to do them seperately?

Is there any place I can download the service manual for a 1995 240sx SE.

me and chnichols put mine on, and it was a bizatch. it'll cost a pretty penny to get it done most likely. took me and him 5 hours one day, 4 the next, and another 1 a couple days later to fix a rattling. granted, neither of us had done it in a while (well, i'd never done it), so we were obviously just kinda guessing on some of it. but they're on and all good now :D they better stay that way too (knock on wood)

ash, its in your best interest to get them done both at the same time, it is expensive, shops usually estimate the job to take 5 hours, including alignment. Ask what theri price is for alignment, and their labor rate. Multiply the labour rate by 5, add the alignment, and there is a ball park figure of an install job. Best deal I found was almost $400 CAN. including alignment, it a new shop, so I guess they need the business. Shops were ranging from $400-$500 for the install of just the springs alone, alignment extra. Thats the main reason why I elected to wait till I got shocks, just avoid more expenses later on down the road. Patience always pays off (in most cases).

Thanks guys, I think I will wait. I'm going to order the Eibachs today and hopefully have them installed in less than 2 weeks.
