Dust covers or no dust covers? Anyone who has them if you could let me know which setup you've used would be great

The last comment hurt the most but that was from my days as a new guy. I have to admit those guys above made me the Q45 Enthusiast that I am today. There are others two but if I name them it will appear as I am taking sides when I truly just want to get along with everyone, for the most part.

Well I posted that because this morning you will see what Maxnix, Qship96, Q45tech and others have to say in their own way.

But its generally best to install them, Why would you go with out them anyways?

Thanks for the heads up. The guy at my local Kragen told me they stopped carrying them because they are not very effective and that sounded wrong to me

Yeah steer clear of local parts stores such as Auto Zone, Pep Boys and others.

The way I see it OEM new or used are the best parts.

Dust boots keep the dust and everything else small enough to get into it and ruin seals and the fluid...Basically there good, Think of dust boots for the steering rack and some suspension components.

For a Q45? I don't think so!

Do you realize the bump stops are integral to the gaiters?

Depends if you want near oem life and performance OR don't mind replacing shocks more frequently due to additional wear and tear of internal seals? If by universal you mean all brands are created equal NOT BY A LONG SHOT.

Maybe changing the name to : "Bump stop assembly with integrated bellows dust shield". Might help to understand that plain bellows dust shields won't work correctly
