It is so fantastic, they asked me if I wanted to sit in it I said no and told them I was going to very slowly back away from it before I did anything stupid. The orange and black F's are UNSOLD!? I thought I read somewhere that Jag sold out the first run of these cars? The gray one was waiting for its new owner to come pick it up.

Jag cracks me up with the power ratings on the supercharged V8 in my car it "makes" 470 hp, in the F-type 495 and in the XFR 510. Its the same motor with the same everything? I bet they all three make well over 500 hp. I dynoed mine at 448 hp at the wheels while the efan was failing and it was hot.

The XFR-S is the XKR-S tune and pulley + a body kit on a XF. You can buy the tune and pulley for $2000?

I really like the attention to detail in the F-type. The body seams are tighter then my XF. Many of the interior bits are matched to the body color, start button, dynamic mode switch (button in the XF) and the steering wheel paddles. Also the Jaguar name is on the door handles when they pop out, the head lights the trunk sil and appear to be on the inside of the exahust tips. The interior of this orange F-type is on par or better than ANY other interior I have ever gazed upon it is such high quality and feels so special.

The only thing I don't like is the plastic vents in the hood.. why the car doesn't need them? It looks cheap on a exspensive car, at least they didn't do portals like th Infiniti QX56 YUK

So now that you've outrun the Lambo trying to retire the XRF on top?

That is one sexy lookin car. I think it looks best in the orange tbh.

Don't hit me: I'm not sure I really like the styling. I don't think it's ugly, but I DO think it's a little too busy and trying just a little to hard. It's got a sort of "if TVR was slightly sane" thing going on, especially from the rear.

Of course, between the XK's way-too-soft styling and the F-type's "sanity is for the weak" styling, I'll take the F-type all day long. Because sanity IS for the weak. Let the maniacal laughter commence.

I've been eyeballing the F types in magazines for a while. I'd love to check one out in person.

I just don't get the engine cover. It's like a 2nd hood that's way harder to open. You don't the engine bay unless you have the hood open, and the only time you open the hood is to look at the engine bay. It's like taking off a teddy and having a bra on under it, wtf is the point?

Isn't the modern age great?

My 170hp 1991 turbo Saab (I bet half the horses have left the stable by now) gets 17/21 mpg and takes around 8 seconds to hit 60 mph. This Jag with triple the power gets 18/23!

Speaking of your stable someone was selling an 87 Saab 900 turbo SPG in GA for $4k if you want me to point him in your direction.

part of it is the new modern engines are NOT pretty. They don't look much like engines even... remove the cover and its like robot vomit

I kinda agree with you. I thought the styling was more busy than I prefer, though I have to acknowledge I have not yet seen one in person. I see the evolutionary styling cues from the previous gens, which were elegant, but I think too many automakers now view auto stylying evolution the American way by slapping on more lines/scoops. So the jury is still out for me whether it's an improvement. I need someone to toss me keys to one.

It's a shame Jag still won't offer a 3rd pedal in the US. It's a huge reason why I won't ever consider buying one.

I would still like to see an engine instead of that plastic garbage covering it up.

My XF is at the dealership for its complementary 2 year service ( they change the oil and tell it its a pretty car) so as a form of punishment I have been given a 2013 XF to drive. This is the most base of cars with fake leather, fake wood, no back up camera (I know I know) and a turbo charged four cylinder.

So here you go here is your motor strip show...

See not pretty doesn't look a whole lot like a motor. The car still is a 4,000 lb car but now half the displacement. Turbo Lag is as bad as any 80's turbo I have driven. You floor it leaving a light and it slowly crawls away then about the time you have reached the speed traffic allows POW the boost comes on and even though you have already let off the accelerator the car leaps forward because the boost has to go somewhere. It is so jerky and SLOW. I told the dealer someone had stolen half the motor. Who is this car marketed for? If you can afford the Jag can't you also afford the extra 4k for the V8?

I'm not going to lie, I thought those were just really crappy pictures and couldn't figure out why you posted them. Now that I know they are videos it makes a lot more sense haha.

But seriously, I know I don't share your overwhelming enthusiasm for Jaguar (although I certainly don't think they are the worst brand out there), but I'm a huge fan of the F type. Thanks for posting the videos. I want one.

hahahah That's so funny. I think you should contact with some millionaire like bill gates or you should make a girls friend of a big business man so she can purchase such a car so you. If you can't do this than do hard work in your life ti achieve your goal.

Good plan, I am thinking that I will wait about 10 years or so when it bottoms out and get one then. 1999-2002 911's are in the $15-$25 k range from a sticker of 80-100k. Everytime I'm at the dealership they try to sell me this orange one. I refuse to test drive it I can't afford to fall any harder for it.

The last video is my Jag

I didn't either. Then I bought one. Modern Jag is probably my most lusted-after brand. Even more than Ferrari. Jaguar does not currently make a product I wouldn't want to own.

Really?? In my case, Jaguar does not make a product I would want to own, but I certainly wouldn't mind test driving one.

The last Jag I liked enough to want to buy was an E-type. (still do) I can't think of one Jag model since then I'd want to own.

This is how I feel, I got the XFSC because it was the most amount of speed I could afford in the newest wrapper
