which car is more balanced? not by what you think but by whats proven if that has happened? would the S14 being slightly quicker be due t balance ?

Most people will say the S14 is more balanced and that the S13 has heavy understeer. But the understeer in a Camry is still greater, so I couldn't tell when I drove one.

does the S14 struggle with understeer at all? even if its not to the same level as the S13?

Well, it sure didn't understeer like a Camry, so I wouldn't think so. But driftsilvias13 said it does. You could always turn it all into stock JDM-wise and it won't. I remember the Drift King saying the S14 has a neutral feeling to it.

Yeah I am sure that a SOHC is not that much or at all under power the DOHC.

As I know of it is only 5-10HP and 5-10LB TQ of diffence!

According to the drift bible, the s14 is very well balanced, and the s13 understeers quite abit

But of course thats stock, but with a decent suspension the understeer will go away.

well let me start i drive both s13 and s14 all the time to me they are the same on dimensions but s14 feels a little big when ur driving but if u want a car that could wow anybody on a parking lot i go with the s14 especially girls if ur a high school.

on the part which car feels better on stock they are the same come on its stock well not exactly:) s13 has a big understeer and for some reason s14 dont have those problem i dont know why cuz if u look at it closely suspension setup is almost the same. And last for those of the people who compare an s14 zenki to a ford taurus go buy yourself a ford taurus and stay awat from the forum.

by the way if u pick s14 go for the s14 kouki 1997 and 1998 model year they are a babe magnet and for some reason i take all badges and put one s14 silvia badge on the front, the badge is the shield one with is correct for the s14 and some european/ white chick mistake my car the s14 for a italian car..... hehehe

i think if a SOHC beats a DOHC then the driver is the factor not the cars.

When I drove my s13 stock it felt like a smaller tighter car, felt very much like it was a part of my body which is how I like cars to feel

MY S13 got broken into today! :-(

But Well I got my *** kick today by a DOHC. He open the hood and I don't see anything. But he kill me by 2 car lenght!

I would give up one of my Nuts for a S15R but thanks to US DOT I can't get one!

So I am just going to make my own 95% J-Spec S13 And S14:ylsuper

Do u have the money or are u limited cuz S13 is a good buy but S14 interior is better and remember those s13 are old and i dont wanna know that i have to fixed it after i buy it. Old care stink too hehehe.

S14 hands down, where is the argument?

I've driven, HICAS powered, Non-Hicas, Turbocharged, swapped and modified S13s, and i've owned all types. The s14 feels sooooo much better, it's classier, roomier, doesen't feel restricted, and cramped. Take a 5 hour road trip in an S13 and then tell me how your back feels.

Now these answers are non-biased, as I even own a couple S13s, but I just prefer S14

Headroom depends on options, my non-sunroof s13 has way more headroom than my freind's 98 sunroof'ed SE. Other than that the S14 is a superior cruising car.

As far as the sports car driving experience, both are adaquet but the S13 has the edge. The S13 is raw rather than refined, something I personally enjoy about it.

I've got a zenki S14 SEwife drives a kouki S14 SE

I'm sure you can tell where my loyalties lie

As far as creature features, you can't beat the S14. one wierd thing is that i can tell a difference between the seats even between the 95 and the 97's

The only thing is i wish it had the HUD speedo that the Coupe S13's had...

as for the guys with understeer problems on either... have you checked your tension rod's lately? I changed the crapped out ones on my zenki and the turn in improved significantly, making the tail just whip right around.

The s13 coupe is sexy after you get the s13 silvia front. The pignose is horrible looking. But, S14as are still sexier inside and out. See for yourself....:ylsuper
