by dipping the blinkers into invisible ink, it turns the amber color into clear240_ESEX wrote:How would you make your own?
I wish that post was in invisible ink.adrians_s13 wrote:by dipping the blinkers into invisible ink, it turns the amber color into clear
I got a better idea. What if I put some invisible ink all over me Imagine what I could doadrians_s13 wrote:by dipping the blinkers into invisible ink, it turns the amber color into clear
hahahaha true. They've had those there forever, but I never heard of anyone making their own.ShallowPockets wrote:are you serious? i've had a pair just sitting in a box for 2yrs... this is very old news.
I think you saw write up on side markers, not the front blinkers. IIRC, someone fabricated clear side markers that were originally from one of BMW cars.DirftKing102 wrote:I saw someone made there own either on this forum or another 240 forum. So that is why i said that. lol
THAT'S IT!! From Mercedes ML.Clear side markers came out a couple of years after the clear blinkers came out, so people installed ML side markers to match them up with front clear blinkers. I think ML side marker was like $8-9 each. I was surprised to see Mercedes part that cheap.biggie wrote:And the clear sidemarkers were from the older Mercedes suv (CL?), if I remember correctly.
I might, but no matter what, I think that this:ishkabibble wrote:You might like the clears more once you have your new tails in...
Here goes the write up.DirftKing102 wrote:how would you make the lights on the side of the car from yellow to clear? Need write up! Thanks
In the write up that I saw several years ago, the hole needed to be modified to make them fit right, so it was a big turn off to me.biggie wrote:From what I remember and what I see, Mercedes ML320 side marker lights fit in the holes. You have to use the bulb/assembly out of the OEM markers.
Its certain years of ML320 though, can't remember the years.
Front blinkers: remove 2 screws, pullFront markers: slide one direction, pullRear markers: held on by two nuts inside of trunkDirftKing102 wrote:does it come with instructions so i can put them in? How do you get the old ones out?
Quit wasting time talking about markers and paint your bumper then. :PLoki wrote:I might, but no matter what, I think that this:
Is gonna draw all attention away from whatever I stick on my bumper anyways.
sounds like you havent made an attempt to take them out yourself. here is a link that shows what they look like behind the fenderhttp://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=201272DirftKing102 wrote:does it come with instructions so i can put them in? How do you get the old ones out?

Wanna sell me your bumper? There's no chuki bumpers in my area in better condition and everyone wants $300 to repaint the bumper, which I honestly don't want to pay (I could get a damn boot for that price). I was thinking about buying one of those Nissan paint touch-up pens but I'm not sure if it'd work.ishkabibble wrote:

You are right. Mine also had lots of cracks on front and rear bumpers when I bought mine. Waited a couple of years and painted front bumper, rear bumper, front lip spoiler, front bumper extension and everything all together. That way color will match good, and you can get a good deal too. If you are going to keep your car for a long time, save up money and fix it right.Loki wrote:A whole repaint with rattle cans? I could, but I think it'd look really awkward without the gloss of a clearcoat.
I have a lot of paint flaking on both bumpers, but just gonna get the entire car reprayed cheaply sometime. Also need to line everything up perfectly in the front.94_240sx wrote:
