Hello,

Is it possible to replace the 225 60r17 stock tire with a 225 65r17 on my 2009 Nissan SL awd? The reason for this is that I live on a rock road and want to move to a heavier ply AT tire . Was worried about clearance when turning .

It's possible if you get a lift kit from Russia or Bulgaria on ebay.

But why?

Just use the oem tire size. There are 8 all terrain tires on discount tire that fits 225/60/17.

From https://tiresize.com/calculator/, there is only a 0.9 inch height difference in those two sizes. Do you see 0.45 inches of clearance all around the circumference of the tire? When you turn lock to lock, do you see enough clearance? If so, it should fit. That is very little difference and I bet it wouldn't be a problem. I doubt the engineers cut it that close. I went 0.3 inches taller but 0.4 inches narrower for my daughter's winter tires with no issue. But you need to check it out and make sure it will fit for yourself.
