Hey guys, I have lurked these boards for a while now, not posting any pics of my own car. To me, it was not worth posting a lowered vert on 5 lug SE's. Well the time is nearing to fully unveil my project, and with completion being a day or two away, a teaser has emerged. Any feedback is great feed back!

Nice work Mike!!!! R32 face....very unique.

SO.........whats the plan for the engine as you are making quite the statement with that front end?

Let the "WTF kind of car is that begin." Haha, I love it.

Lookin good! Can't wait to see more pics of it all done. From this angle, it looks like you took your time and did the nose correctly.

110octane, where did you find a distributor in the USA for the supermade products? Love the wing on your vert...very subtle.

jspec, there is at least one guy on one of the 240 forums who does group buys from Super Made. I'm not sure if he's on NICO or not.

I can't wait to see more pics!!!

The R32 is hard to get to fit well.. especially the fender to door connections. But, if someone took their time and did it right.. it could be a very cool conversion.

I'm all excited to see it now. Quit teasing us!

The Bad - the conversion pieces are not legit r32 pieces, they are made by GTP Aero. They still fitted like ***, and A LOT of work went into the front end.

The Good - The car is 99% DONE! It will DEFINATELY be on the road tomorrow. The hood latch is really stiff, and the hood would not hold up to the pressure needed to latch it, sooooo... new latch spring tomorrow and finally bolt tightening!!!

MORE PICS TOMORROW OR WEDNESDAY!!!

oh, and as far as the motor is concerned, 110 hit the nail on he head. I am still in debate whether the rb20 or 25 is going in. the 25 is more sensible, but I am leaning towards the rb20 since it was factory in the r32 gts. input is welcome

http://www.importfan.com is the manufacturer of the pieces.

I started out w/ OEM body panels, radiator and bumper support and lights. I scrapped the body panels for those hoping they fit better. They did, but just barely. If I wouldn't have had the radiator support and bumper support, the project would have most likely ended up scrapped.

Looks good so far. It's a real teaser. I'm dying to see some more pics. Is this front end without the grill? IMHO, r32 front looks better with the grill. You know what I mean?

Thanks for the link! I was having a brain cramp the other night when I asked about that...I knew who sold the GTP product, just couldn't remember! LOL So how would you rate that company? I have talked to a few people here and there that have said the C/S is not very and they take forever to ship things. Anyways, +1 for doing something a little different! Can't wait to see more!

well I have dealt with Joey Tam from GTP/Importfan.com the whole time, he has been super helpful, very pleasent to deal with. Shipping was fast as well, it took only 4 business days to get the entire front end. The only dissapointment was fitment. I am hoping that it is because the product is unique, and because it is the conversion from a different chassis. I may go back to them for skirts/rear bumper/rear over fenders, so we'll see.

When you say you may go back for the rest of the kit, does that mean you may not do the rest or just buy from somewhere else? I was looking on their site and the coupe in progress looked pretty nasty with rear overs fenders and skirts. IMO I don't think the car would look finished w/o the rest of it...but to each his own if you decide not to. So when do we get to see more progress pics?

I may or may not go back to Joey for the rest of the fiber glass. I am FOR SURE doing the rest of the kit. I plan on sides rear and over fenders, but I will need gauranteed better fitment from them.

**** pics in progress, by tomorrow I will have all my pics posted, including FINISHED PRODUCT! She will be done TONIGHT!

oh, and I will be rocking the black chrome GTS grill in there, dont worry, though the pic looks close, that was day 1 of mock up, she is looking SO much better, so stay tuned

if your looking for good fitment on the over fenders with no modding, go with version select. I used them for my whole 8 peice kit and everything fit perfectly...no problems. once again, good luck!

Dude, jspec603 is right the V:S stuff fits good and is from the same manufacturer as Origin. Both are good fitting and good looking product from my experience.

Also, from my experience, the C Wings stuff never fits right. Due to my profession, I have used just about every Body kit manufacturer. The C wings stuff has proven to be the worst and has ended up in more time and money making it fit properly and look good. I have more of their product sitting in my warehouse unused than I do on any of the cars they were obtained for. In fact, I have thrown away a set of CF doors and CF fenders into a dumpster because they didn't want to warranty the fitment and left me out in the cold. Big mistake.

As you all know I am not the type to talk ish but in this case I am just warning you TIMELSS.....

If you have questions regarding this post please contact me directly and I can give you more details.

I agree with your statement as well. I have (and still do) work with aftermarket products like this. There is always good and bad. Not to name drop, but products like C wings, Carbon Creations and a number of others tend to fit like poop. I've installed them all bro...If you spend the money you'll get really nice fitting stuff. The last kit I installed was an INGS kit on an S2K...do you think I had to mod that kit at all? If you said no, your right! Of course thats what you get when you pay 3k and wait for 3 months to get it.
