Well guys, as promised, here are pics. Shes on the road. hope all the anticipation was worth it. Thanks to Jspec and 110 for the advise, I am still debating whether or not to go back to GTP. Basically, if they give me free ****, I'll take it. ****, they should after my last visit with my body man Also, the wheels im rockin right now are temps, they are off of my bro's s14 that was wrecked a couple weeks ago. I have some cheapo Hot Wheels comin, we'll see how that goes...

half finished and mostly stock the way it is now I wouldn't count on anyone wanting to pay to put their name on the car.

Looks pretty good from the font! Maybe a little adjustment on the middle of the front bumper to get it to sit closer to the headlights? And is that the finished line where the bumper meets the fender? Have you tried pulling the ends of the bumper out little to get it a bit more flush? Please don't think I am downing your car, I'm deff not. Just giving some suggestions!

I know that no sponsor is looking to pick up a project car that they didn't start, that comment was a joke, it was supposed to be highlightes as a joke w/ the "PS" and the , I guess sarcasm doesn't show on message boards.

And as far as the gapping, the front end was done by a professional body man with more than 30 years in the game. I am not stretching the truth by any means when I say this is the CLOSEST it came to having the lines meet up. It doesn't help that the camera settings and lighting highlight the gapping issue.

each eye is different. I am sorry that his 3 days of work is lost in the gapping of poor fiberglass. The side shot shows all body lines are very close imo.

I have friends that do body work but can't properly install and mold a fiberglass bumper... my guess is he couldn't either. just sayin... its a specialized skill you get from experience, not with bodywork, but with fiberglass.

If you could have seen how far off it was in the beginning, youd see why my body man is proud of his work, and why I know for a fact he did the best job possible with out spending a thousand plus dollars just getting it to fit. Besides have to add on to the radiator support to have mounts for the headlights to sit where they are supposed to according to the length of the hood and fenders, we also have supports in the fenders to help keep their shape. With out those supports in the fenders, they suck in and prevent the doors from opening. I wasn't over his shoulder all three days, but these are the major steps that I witnessed to get this thing to get close to fitting right.

The point is, I don't think you have any right to post to say that whatever flaws you see in my front end is due entirely to my body man. With out seeing anything other than one build teaser pic and 3 finished product pics, you have nothing to go on as far as your opinion of how skilled he is. I take each post into consideration, and constructive criticism is appreciated, BUT, this last post was not constructive criticism. It was, imo, a knock on my body man, saying he doesn't know what he is doing. Please that slander out of my thread.

I don't think the pictures do it justice... which is why slownslurious doesn't think the body work is so good.

There is one joint that looks funny in the pictures... the fender to bumper connection... It's strange... the very first picture (the straight front shot) shows that the lines are straight and perfect, but the second and third show so much shadow or darkness that it looks like the fenders stick way out and don't meet the bumper very well.

I think it has to do with the pictures and lighting.. .I'd like to see another picture or two during the day with good light.. I think it might look better that way.

I would suggest sideskirts and rear bumper valance to keep the side profile consistant... should look fantastic when that's done.

The only other thing is the front grill... any way you can find one to fit in there.. that open hole also adds to the "doesn't quite fit right" look.

overall... I dig it! Nice work! it's original.. it's sharp! It's got a really nice aggresive look to it. I especially like the side profile.. the front end comes to a really nice curve!

I dont post pics of my ride up cause I know its not clean. and if I did and people said it didn't look good I'd be like, well, first off youre right, and second off thats your opinion. I'm not sure what you are looking for posting pics up. a pat on the back? you admit that you didn't do the work, the bodyman did. so you want a pat on the back for writing a check or what?

I mean sorry if you get your panties in a wad over it but if you put pics up of your car expect people to post their opinions about it... you don't have to get angry or argue about it, thats just how it works and I can't think of any other reason you woulda put pics up.

I dig it. It's got kind of a Saleen feel from the side view, which will be enhanced with sides / rear kit.

I'd say the next step should be a grille, some big fogs in the bumper openings, and lose the black side stripe...

I actually like the wheels!

Wow.. did I fall into some sort of Honda forum... this is the Vert forum right?? where's the love? One of the things I've always liked about this forum is how respectful we are about someone's hard work (be it through bustin *ss working to make the money to pay the body man or doing the work themself) and creativity. I always thought we didn't have room for haters here.

That being said, Timeless good job. Definetly forging new ground, and not having any easy template to work off of... well kudos to you. It's definitely hard following up after 110Octanes effort, but it still looks good for a untested look. I think with perhaps some tweaking (if possible) and a finished side and rear kit, you might have quite the looker.

Now, slownslurious I'm not calling you a hater, but perhaps a few kind words for the effort might go much further than stone throwing. Don't be the guy that lives in the glass house, cause I'm sure there are many that may line up for your first effort..

This is the Vert forum... nuthin but love for the few of us lucky enough to own one.

Hey I made the same mistake, too. I thought it was "timeless" for several months. I actually did an internship as a proofreader for school books once though. Man, that job sucked.

future plans - rest of the kit and widebody rear for sure. I was thinkin of taking the bomex front and runnin w/ it and makin it looke a lil like a wangan car. But I may find a new bumper and go w/ a cleaner look, who knows, theres a few things that will decide that for me
