i was prolly driving around.. Its here now tho.. Frigging a/c compressor went out and it took 3 days to get another one in here.. No one in site had one in stock.. Now i was really hot.. The old compressor was leaking so i ended up having to put a can of freon every day just so i can ride.. I refuse to ride with windows down, it feels as if the heat from under the hood is coming in. 77 is okay.. sometimes 76.. Now if someone is in car with me.. ill bring it down to 73.. Right now im looking for a bumper and the bottom engine cover that is under the car..

Some on the board may disagree. I hear that it's an important component in under hood airflow. But I'm no expert.

I just had my car on the lift for a brake job. I found out that I need a new rack (leaking and torn) and upper control arms. I think I'm going to order from rackdoctor too.

Please try that lucas stop leak and just replace the boots, mine stopped leaking totally after a year of topping it off with lucas and transmission fluid. It cost 125$ bucks including alignment.

You think that'll fix it? I don't know if I've been leaking for a long time since I haven't noticed a drop in fluid level. Maybe this is a recent thing. I don't see puddles on the floor either.

I think I'd like to get the control arms done after a horror story I just heard.

rebuilt rack (not including extra parts) and alignment cost me ~$200. considering that, $125 sounds llike an expensive band aid to me.

That's what I'm figuring. You seem to be happy with your rackdoctor rack, so I think I'll go the same route. All that extra stuff you put on, was that totally necessary or did you just want it done?

From what I saw while it was on the lift, the rack and UCA are what need to be fixed.

Are there any other options for racks for the G50? I ask this because I just read on a BMW forum that an owner replaced the rack in his 3 series with one from rackdoctor that was built for a Z3.

I was just wondering if there was something similar for the G50.

Would it be beneficial to go with the tein and spl parts now even though the car is at stock ride height? I plan on going with a coilover setup like yours in the future, so I'm wondering if I should do it now or wait.

200$ for shipping? Are they gonna take it out for you and put it back in for you? You must have some time on our hands. To each their own, just giving my input. That place must be right down the street. An alignment alone is 100 bucks anywhere around here. 25 bucks for the lucas...

The rack for the G50 is like $129 with a $70 core deposit and $18 shipping charge.

The shop that diagnosed it said that they'll install it once I get it, same with the upper control arms. I don't think it'll run me too much.

I think I'm too far gone for the Lucas.

100% money back guarantee!!! It has NEVER failed (they should hire me).....even the worst gaping holes. Mine was leaking out of the rack below the filler, God knows where else. I used to refill it once a week when I first got Niqole. It will fix it in three bottles, but dont try more than three, It is a 25 dollar attempt to fix it....Wagers???

I really don't think it'll fix my problem. Depending on the orientation of the turn that I make, the steering wheel will till be slightly turned in that position while the wheels are straight.

Lucas won't fix that.
