To illustrate,OJ Simpson was a hall of fame football player, popular pitchman (Hertz), comedic actor (Naked Gun movies). Since that scandal involving his wifes death many years ago, where he was acquitted, if you now hear the name OJ Simpson, what comes to mind? Unless you're a hardcore football fan, most folks are still gonna think first of that scandal.

The difference between OJ and the examples I listed is that OJ did that at the end of his carrier, and that murder is a bit worse then cheating.The last memorable thing OJ did was kill a few people and commit armed robbery. While I think its harder to get those two crimes to go away then sleeping around a bit, OJ would have came out of it all a lot better if he would have done it BEFORE his other successes.

I watch golf as well as play it... and I've met Tiger twice (once in 9th grade and once in 12th grade)... and honestly, I could care less about Tiger's personal life, seriously.

The guy has real talent when it comes to golf... but thats as far as my interest goes. I could care less about anything that guy does outside the golf course (or for any other athlete for that matter).

I don't think ANY golfer cares about his whole ordeal. IMO, the only people concerned are the media.

All I want to know is when he's gonna come back and play for the Masters, US Open, etc... (moreso I'm concerned if Kobes gonna be back or not, but thats a different story).

also, to add to my .02, I honestly don't think he needs to say anything further on his situation. The dude f&cked up and already admitted it. We're all human... as the saying goes, let him who is without sin cast the first stone or something like that. Its really no one else's business really...

It's a bunch of PR BS. The only person he owes an apology to is his wife and his children. And here's the deal. you will NEVER convince me that he is sorry for screwing all those women. He's sorry he got caught, but is he sorry he did it? Come on!

Word. He needs to make amends with his family. They are the only ones hurt by this.

I will say it would be a shame for this to end his career. But if thats the decision he makes, I wont feel bad for him. He was a great golfer. He'll be a bit poorer if his wife takes half and leaves him, but he won't be eating outta trash cans.

I don't own a TIVO. I did not record it or watch it live. I had more important things to do than watch a horny philandering narcissist read a well rehearsed speech carefully written by his PR people in front of a small group of friends, and not one reporter was able to ask a question. I did eventually watch it on MSNBC and was not overly impressed.

I don't buy his sincerity. Too scripted. But there was one part where I did feel sorry for him. His kids being stalked by the press. They should be off limits.

Also, did I miss something or did he apologize to everyone EXCEPT the women he seduced. Several of those women said he told them he was planning to leave his wife for them to get them into bed, which were obviously lies on his part. Nothing's changed.
