As you are aware, it's not the fine which is a problem, but rather the possibility of your insurance premiums increasing in the event you were convicted of the offense. In addition, there are several technicalities associated with traffic citations. As such, an attorney could be successful in obtaining a dismissal of the citation.

Brilliant that's the best advise possible for this situation!

Hiring a lawyer is worth the money even for something like a traffic ticket. My wife recently got out of a reckless driving charge (80 in a 55) by hiring a lawyer who spoke with the prosecutor and got it knocked down from a misdemeanor to 10 over (still 250ish with court costs).

Connecticut sucks they have nailed so many people I know that way, I have escaped a few times going through that state, you've got to respect the cruise control.

Good job! Reckless driving is a horrible thing on anyone's driving record.

does cruise control mean a thing in the G-35 or 350Z? Since I bought my g-35, I have only used the cruise control 3 times only. Car is too exciting to put it on cruise control.

I don't really get what your asking?

I have a bit of a heavy foot and use it only on long highway driving trips. My wife has had her Acura for five years and has never once used to cruise. It just keeps me from speeding if I give up control to the car.

Steve:

I was just saying that the cruise control function seems almost invinsible in the G-35 Coupe---many who have lead foot, may not find utility in its use in a G-35, 350Z or G-37.

Everything mentioned here except the option on the 37 with ICC has standard cruise system and although I am unsure of exactly what you are saying, if you set it while on the highway at a legal speed it should keep you from gradually accelerating. Many people never use it though and that is understandable it's something that some people just cannot use for the "lack of control" they feel not having a foot on the accelerator.

yes i am definetly getting a lawyer. like i said there is no way that i want this to be on my record even as a nolle. i am not going to driver retraining course again. as far as insurance goes smockers..thats the whole point of insurance the more risk you the the higher the premium, to me that still makes no sense as im only paying for a promise that someones going to do something for me. and once i do actually use the insurance my rate will increase or they will cancel me. even though i sell insurance i still think its pointless. and as far as the post yes i do admit to what i did. but being a forum member just wated to talk to people on here regarding an issue. so more often than not everyone on always had an answer and was helpful for whatever the situation was. and yes true it was only a rant. im sure a bank robber or a murderer also wants to rant about what they did. yes that was a extreme example and going 13 miles over the limit is noowhere close and i would be all for frying all those felons. but im sure theyd still have something say about what they did. i dont know if this all makes sense but ya. and ill keep yaaaal posted on the outcome first im going to see if my lawyer can dismiss it for a charity contribution or all at once then if not then mail it in wait for the court date and have my lawyer take care of it then.

I agree! I am one of those people who lack control especially when i hear that sweet, sweet Stillen exhaust sound, when I mash that pedal.

that's that little button on the right side of the steering wheel, I use it some times, and I go with the flow of the traffic most if not all the time, my licence is clean and has been for many years, I would like to keep it this way, but with my new G37S in RED, I don't know how long that will last, here in NYC the courts are not so lenient.

My own experience with all types of red cars has always been less than positive. Since changing to a new preffered choice of color and slowing down a bit I have noticed less tickets. I blame the red car.

From what I have observed New Yorkers in general are not too lenient and forgiving.
