Hey dont worry about what people think if you had a 2jz s13 i believe you the only thing expensive about the 2jz is the is the six speed transmission thats y i aborted the swap a local junkyard in my area had a 2jz with 11o k on the motor for 1500. to get to 750 hp you just got to upgrade the turbos and drivetrain not that hard but anywho rebuild the ka its not hard pretty str8 forward. The reason i believe you is cause i rebuilt my motor from the ground up easy but when i thru my turbo on i was real confused. Yall give him a break you cant know everything

Here are 2 quick examples of reasons not to believe him...If he's placed a 2JZ in the car, he knows how much room there is to work with...
leveledlife wrote:im putting in a new ka in replace of my rod throwing.. how hard is it to put just the motor in instead of the motor transmission combo?
leveledlife wrote:well im pretty much doing it in a driveway and i dont know how i would get the transmission on the new motor. thats why i want to keep it in the car. theres gotta be a trick to it or something.

Well according to your story, you had a s13 with a 2j.

Wow you sound like every other s13 fag, who thinks they know everything. Just because your a "Toyota guy" doesn't mean anything. You said it yourself that you took out your old KA, so you should already know.

Your stories don't add up

The point was, it's freakingg easier with it in the driveway... It's 20 times harder when you have to hold a transmission up while placing it on the motor, nevermind the fact there is little room to mess with the bellhousing bolts while you're underneath the car...

What's bad is... you can search these forums and do a little reading and get most of the answers you're looking for. Plus, people probably wouldn't be as hard on you if you didn't come in making BS claims. Either way, best of luck... I'm still waiting on that detailed parts list of your upgrades on the 2jz
