swain has a black body emitter that's supposed to dissipate heat from whatever object it coats.

the laws of thermodynamics say that the perfect absorber is also the perfect emitter, i believe.

sigh, so many decisions....

thanks for all the great info. i didn't think of the problems with powdercoating really.

Actually, a light dusting of spray paint isn't going to really hurt IC performance at all, because you don't even get the paint on the bulk of the heat-exchanging surface in the middle. maybe 1 or 2 degrees. who cares. :)

whats the big deal about stealth anyways? not like you cant hear and see the turbo itself anyways. what are you trying to do, trick people into racing you or avoid the cops? I dont think either is really a worthwhile effort.

Well, if you ask me, I do. Being from Cali has a lot to do with it for me though. The less attention I get from cops, the better. The less attention I get from would be thieves, the better. Being a sleeper is just a nice side effect.

Let's just say that I don't want undue attention leaving a $500 frontmount plainly visible in my apartment complex.

I don't race other people on the streets.

For a straight line car probably true, the better weight distribution should help the car handle better.

I have only actually seen it done once, on a covair with a v8 up front, if you can cut bend sheetmetal it looked pretty easy.

Buy a used stock silvia side mount from someone that upgraded to an FMIC.
