I have only seen one in the states so far. There's one for sale on a local forum for 16,000 without the motor or 19,000 with the motor installed and tuned. Your friends car is teh sex, lowered perfectly on nice wheels. Can't really go wrong there.

Meh... I'd rather have a 370Z since it's superior in every way (except for the ugly headlights). Hell, even a 350Z is superior. The s15 is a georgeous car to be sure, but I never understood the allure of owning a street driven LHD car in the U.S.

As far as I know its legal, it has a florida plate and title with 9 digit vin. Probably not federally legal....

Having a plate means very little. If it has a 9 digit VIN, then it has not been issued the proper 17 digit federal VIN code.

Registered in a state is one thing, but highway legal is a whole other ball game.

It is a gray market vehicle, plain and simple. Yes he can own it, and drive it, he may even be able to insure it. But he will always run the risk of having the car taken away. Every time he gets pulled over he will be gamb|ing. All it takes is one suspicious cop, and the car goes bye bye forever.
