Typical mechanic. Thinking about the car and engine before yourself! Hopefully you came out of it unscaithed as well.

Damn man, that sucks. At least the engine is intact. You are a stronger person than I am though. When I crashed, I refused to take even a single picture. I just took the keys off my keychain last night ... after a month.

im ok, some airbag burns on my arm but thats about the extent of my injuries.it was a low speed impact mebey 15-20mph at most, im still not sure what caused it but i was headded straight and then next thing i know the car kicks a 90* turn right into a pole...the car had been acting strange the past few days tracking badly and kinda 'jumping' around in the rear.

Carl, anything you need, you email / call me. Seriously.

You might be discouraged now, but we're gonna get the world's most famous RB20 back on the road.

Man, glad your alright.

Were you "on it" or what?

Evan

Check out that rear suspension, sounds like it really wasn't so much your fault.

What did you hit?

Solid concrete.

If I remember correctly, it was one of those 5 foot long, solid barriers.

sounds like a toe out problem... makes the rear end want to steer itself with any type of turn on the wheel. Where you WOT?

He's right carl, you better take that...

I know how you feel, I wrecked my really really clean s13 just driving normally one day... But if I didnt do that I wouldnt have decided to go overboard on the repairs and do an rb20 swap, and 5 speed conversion.

Might seem like a really bad thing right now... it is. But you'll be on to bigger and better things..

Sorry to hear about it, regardless...

Really does suck man, but like you said last night, things happen. Glad you'll still be here as a mod etc though, I truly do owe my running swap to you. Have fun down south, F1 ftw!

Like you DJ, I owe my flawlessly running swap to carl as well. His car got me hooked on turbos and rb20's to begin with, along with a continued passion for s14's. The loss of the car is bad, but losing carl would have been infinitly worse. We're all glad he's ok. Stay tuned for his next car though, it will be beast whatever it is

Yeah exactly man.

Next car, psshh, I just want to get my hands on the secret project he should have going... Might have one of my own soon. And there is one thing to count on though, if he parts out the engine, I call dibs on whatever I can afford.

Sucks, but look at it like this. Now it's time for a fiberglass/carbon fiber hood, fiber glass fenders,a bumper with a better intercooler opening, and a custom fiberglass dash. Take a look at the subframe bushings. I spun mine twice right after I got it. Once with my 6 month old son in the car. Was driving much slower than normal and all of a sudden the car turned 90*. Not a good feeling.

well, at least u r alive to talk about it, and i know the feelin, when i bend the lower control arm on my 95 240 and the wheel went inside the wheel aprain, i was like, NOOOOOOOOO my car is ruin, the suspension the front bumper , nooooooooo. but 500 dollars later it was an easy fix, but it took me a 3 weeks to get my baby rollin.......it looks like you can fix ur car, it just needs a new radiator suport, fenders and hood, radiator maybe, and if ur rail is bend, take the car apart, and take it to a body shop to straighten your rail, and get the S15 front end, i would have done it, but my fiance wont let me spend more money into my car be safe
