I won't be there. But I'll reply and say hi

I agree, this forum should be busy. I always check it and there is never anything new. Old Datsun's are cheap, fun, and undoubtedly cool. More people need to pick some up

I won't be able to go either, can't get the time off of work. I should have my 510 completed for next year, and cruise up there with my sr20det! For those who are going, please take lots of pics and post them on this thread, and give those who missed out some satisfaction by letting see all the fun you guys had. LONG LIVE THE DATSUN THREAD!

I love the datsun forum, it's a shame it moves so slow.

I'm like jerry, I pop in here every day but there's not much to say...

but, when there is, I say it

Datsuns Rule;If it wasn't for those cheap tin cans that were designed to scream with the right mods we wouldn't have half the sweet rides we have today. If you notice the suspension remains quite the same throughout the years. Just can't beat the right thing.

Some guy posted a question about swaping a KA into a 510 on the KA forum and I asked him to move it to this one where it belongs and all I got was a song and dance about how slow this forum is. If you don't post here it will never get faster or less dead.

If one the mods is reading this how about adding the Datsun forum to the home page so more people might notice it.

Great idea...

Anyone with a pure passion for Datsuns, who knows them pretty well? If so, we could use someone to go balls-out on this forum... He'll, I'll even buy you a URL to make a portal page like some of the others linked on the home page.

Hi Greg,I love old Datsuns. It was a rare find you had with the three roadsters. I don't know which I like more the roadster or the Hakoska. They both give me a woody. I do know this the 2000 can be a real scream in near stock condition. A few engine mods and flaired fenders with some wicked wide tires and you can stomp on the old cobra's even with them having a lot more cubic inches. I have had 2 521 pick-ups one completely stock and one with a 350 chevy (I was young). I have also had a 610 and a couple of 510s all give you that feeling of race (light, fast, tight handling). I would like to see this forum move and forgive my ignorance on websites and stuff, but I have no idea what a portal is. I did notice that under Car Specific Links on the home page that Datsuns were not listed. It is only when you go one step further that it shows up. If you think this portal thing is the right way to go let me know more about it.

Joe

How does ClassicDatsun.org and ClassicDatsun.net sound?

Joe, if you're game, we'll put ya to work! We can get this forum booming if we put our minds to it...

I'm SO looking forward to getting started on my Roadsters and having someone to guide me through the restorations!
