I like the CVT. Not sure why everyone hates on it.

Accord coupe looks pretty cool I think, but good luck with getting 20k on your trade in.

In the end, do what makes you happy. That's all that counts in life.

I think Honda makes good cars. When I purchased my Altima coupe a couple of years ago I was deciding between the Accord coupe and the Altima coupe. I decided on the Altima coupe because I like the looks of the car. Even thou the GM of the Local Honda dealer is one of my best friends.

I really pissed him off.

But what ever makes you happy.

I will admit that I also laughed very hard when I came home and he was posting that.

Aye. If he showed up at Carlisle wearing that, I'd probably poop myself.

I would never trade my altima coupe in for the accord coupe. before the honda fan-boys try and say anything, I wouldn't get it BECAUSE it doesnt look as good as the altima coupe and I prefer the VQ engine. Honda has great 4 cylinders with an excellent reputation but I'm not so sure of their V6 engines. the VQ has been one of the best engines in world for the past what, 13 years? 14 years? that says something right there..... oh and with Honda 4cylinders, I dont like the fact that they have like 20 lbs/ft torque lol the amount of torque they have is like a joke. and to top it off, the Honda community sucks. 1/2 the Honda community is just ricers and pretty much the whole honda community believes that with an intake and exhaust that they could kill a Bugatti Veyron.

haha agreed. This is why Honda's are so badmouthed around the tuning scene nowadays. It's not a question of if their cars are good or not, because we all know Honda is praised mostly for their reliability and performance...it's more if the fact that having a Honda is associated with being a bigtime ricer. Don't get me wrong Ive driven a '08 Honda accord v6 and it was pretty cool looking and also quick but they're only good after 60mph when vtec kicks in. If you do get the accord and mod it in the right ways, I'm sure no one on this forum will say anything too harsh.

Um, the VTEC engines change camshaft profiles based on more than just speed. In fact, it is more heavily influenced by throttle position and RPM. Now, when I test drove the Accord I was with the salesman and couldn't really open it up. But, generally speaking, the Honda engines are quite capable when operating on the lower lift cam profile. The change should be noticeable when flipping over to the higher lift profile - the car should certainly pull much harder at higher RPM. But, this can basically happen at any speed.

Also, Hussain may be right. I've had great experience with the Honda four bangers, but know little about the sixes. And, the VQ is one hell of an engine.
