I really can't remember. I think I downloaded this a few years ago before i joined Nico. I was surfing the web looking to see if anyone had ever done an elaborate sound system. Maybe cardomain?.....GQ Jay wrote:thanks D. whose G50 in the picture (for sale)?
Yep!elwesso wrote:I thought they only made them in 18s..... Ive never seen that style in the 17... Maybe im wrong?
235/50/17 are almost perfect at 26.2-26.3.ddrumman wrote:OEM 26.1. Will that be an issue with your a? I don't know.
I agree, that would look very sweet!tkd_q45 wrote:Jay, when did you get an Y33?
Put those 17" rims on your G50 - that would look sweet!!!!
Just a suggestion. Drop that (F)Y33 1 to 1.5 inches and find some 7-spoke 18x8 +30mm G35 coupe wheels that you can use with 225/45 or 235/45 inch rubber. Nitto, Toyo and Cooper have the 225's in a 95 load rating.maxnix wrote:Any less width, and you are wasting your money as the tires you can mount will be of too small a section.
I know I'm going to get flamed. But please understand...no offense is meant to the Y33 guys (especially Falk who has yet to hand me the keys). Looking at them side by side makes me think Nissan reverse engineered these cars. The Y33 has a more dated look than the G50 and when you think about the decontenting and power loss as the years went by.... it's kinda sad. Same story with the interior.GQ Jay wrote:
I actually have had the FY33 longer--Since 10 may 2004.
FWIW. I just noticed the tires in the auction listing "225/55R17 95V Bridgestone Turanza EL42". Those are horrible tires for anything more than basic "commuting" .GQ Jay wrote:the fy33 is going to need tires soon, and i hate the 16" 5-spoke 'sport' rims.

if i can get my 15" BBS basketweaves on the fy33 (did a dry fit, they rub the front calipers ever so slightly), i might even try the F50 17" on the active.
7.5 width with 35 offset is 'bout perfect, right? Soooo many more performance tires in 17" now......
okay, fire away......
You're killing me here. You do know I have several sets of wheels/tires and would be willing to let at least one set of the 18's go?GQ Jay wrote:that one didn't pan out.
here's next possibility: 8.0 width w/ 40 offset. my hand calc says 15mm closer to 3rd link. what you guys think?obviously thse tires wouldn't be for the Q.

Do the FX wheels in 18" come in only the dull finish or are they available in hyper silver?Rex wrote:

I do like the FX wheels though .
AFAIK, there was only the one color and then chrome.lino wrote:Do the FX wheels in 18" come in only the dull finish or are they available in hyper silver?
I think that's the "dull finish" he was referring to above. I haven't seen a bright or "hyper silver" verison that I can recall. But that doesn't mean they don't exist.elwesso wrote:I think the FX wheels come in the powder coated look too. .
yeah, it was actually EQuippD that reminded me about the 7 spoke option (which i prefer over 8 spoke). i'm not really big on 18" wheels though--would really like a factory (or at least substantive) 17x8, 35 offset, 7 spoke.Rex wrote:

They will work ok with 245/45-18 tire.GQ Jay wrote:here's next possibility: 8.0 width w/ 40 offset. my hand calc says 15mm closer to 3rd link. what you guys think?
