Yep - right in my driveway. I had a set of wheel locks, but obviously you can see how well they work.

I'll be keeping an eye out on craigslist and ebay just for the heck of it.

Really sucks - at least I have insurance, but with a $500 deductible.

yes, oem locks, which are made by the same company as all the other oems as far as I know. Maybe I should have had 5 different patterns for each lug nut. I still would have been sleeping I guess.

Damn. That sucks.

I've seen this happen before. Sucks to see it happen.

The crooks might have an infiniti and were just looking to find rims...

watch craigslist for these/local classifieds.

I've seen this happen where the popped up like a day or two later.

You mean the key to a wheel lock from an 05 g couple fit your 04 sedan?

Seems odd the keys would be so few.

However the fact is that a wheel lock can be easily removed with simple hand tools.

Now one thing I do have a question about that maybe someone has done. It appears on the new 09s you can order an impact sensor. Can this be added to an 08? If not then it seems like it would be fairly easy to add one and wire possibly into the alarm for the hood.

Wow. Just wow.

I can't imagine how you feel right now. If I found my G like that, I would be absolutely livid and truly saddened at the same time.

I hope you don't have any bodywork that needs to be done as well.

Sorry man!!!What did the insurance company say?Would imagine the replacement cost thru Infiniti would be extremely high!High enough to get some really nice aftermarket rims.

I was thinking the same thing about aftermarket wheels.

Or you could go for the Z track wheels if applicable.

Atleast they left it on block and not on the rotors. And they knew where the jack points were to put the blocks.

Now it is time to upgrade to some stupid offset aftermarket wheels.

That really sucks man...at least insurance will cover it. Make sure to do a police report.

Guys remember that wheel locks only make the job a little harder and more time consuming if they don't have the key. We have a problem with people stealing OEM CATs for the precious metal

Oh man now I am scared their going to get my G37 wheels and rims even with the OEM locks!

I know there is a master key lock that infiniti dealers use, could someone have gotten their hands on one? From the picture it looks like a clean steal and no problem getting the locks off.

I understand that if you do not put the wheels locks back on with a impactthere could be a problem of over tightening, again this was for the G37?

now I'm trying to remember what the Infiniti tech said,I believe the key they use is designed for an impact gun.I guess it don't matter if they want your rims they are going to get them.I'm not going to leave my G out over night again,it stays in the garage!

Do I need to put my initials in the rim, G37 Man to protect thieves from selling them?

That really sucks bro. I'm sorry to hear that.

From what I was quoted at Infiniti, they run $800 per wheel, without tire. Get a check from the insurance company, and buy some Gram Lites.

Sorry dude....that really sucks!

Being from Memphis (the auto theft capitol of the world) we are kind of used to that stuff. I had a car stolen in broad daylight on a busy street. Police said it was a gang initiation. They totally trashed my car.

They will get theirs someday.

i would of taken the BBK, that runs for $1500 from riverside inifiniti

and wheel locks just slow them down, best thing you can do is add one of those motion spot lights, but if they want the Rims they will get them.

Sorry about your luck man, it could have been MUCH worse though.

They need to get the mob back in charge of PVD. When Buddy was running the place wasn't such a mess. I have family back their and with things the way they are I'm not really surprised something like that would become a more common place occurrence.

I would strongly recommend getting the tires wheel and sensors installed at the dealer and taking them home and putting them on. If you have to put your car on a ramp trunk it may scratch the hell out of the bottom of your car.

Torquing wheels using a click style torque wrench is the recommended way to secure the wheels. You always want to use a star pattern too evenly apply torque. I always the same application procedure (finger tighten them all first). The Master Set we have has 28 possible keys, there are two main types so there are 14 possible keys that fit any OE wheel lock. If they have the correct tools and a few people taking a set of wheels wouldn't take more than 10 minutes and make a very small amount of noise.

Unfortunetly there is not much you can do to deter this type of larceny. The OE wheel locks on the 37 are specially designed to create the most surface area and many aftermarket kits will not fit with these style lugs. I would think about getting a motion sensing flood light. A camera would be an ideal choice but the likelihood of catching enough feature for the police to be able to track them down. Of get a fence around your hard, at least making it harder to get in, nothing big a 4' with twisted wire on top and a Caucasian Mountain Dog should keep your baby safe in the future.

Good Luck
