Wow... that sucks. At least they put the blocks at roughly the correct points.

I have no idea if these actually help, but Harbor Freight (www.harborfreight.com) has a couple of dummy cameras that look pretty realistic...

That's ironic, today I was looking at a Toyota Tundra with 20's and wheel locks on it and was thinking who really steals rims any more.

I think it happens more than you think.

I read you title and just knew it was going to be stock wheels on a G37 coupe. I hear they are getting ripped daily. I think they look nice (these wheels) but damn why so many? An East coast thing it seems. Sorry to hear the bad luck. My 07 G sedan was hit and ran last friday in my parking lot at work, so I feel your pain. $500 deductible and my insurance takes a hit!

I was once working in a busy plaza in broad day light and someone tried to steal my Anniv. Ed. wheels off of my older Maxima- Luckily someone saw him and said something. What a damn shame

Honestly it's not that hard to get a wheel lock set. The thing that surprised me is that they got them off while you were asleep.

I've always heard that you Do Not Torque a wheel lock because it will break. I conveniently forgot this once and can confirm that yes the grooves in the key will strip off into the Lock.

As for security you may want to invest in a motion light and camera system.

As others have said it is not that hard to get keys or master sets, for some thieves it is easier just to break the locks off.

Im guessing they never turned up. Thats a shame, my friend has 6 security cameras facing his driveway street etc. Quality is excellent and they have night vision. Came with a 120gb hard drive and was only around 600ish. Do get.

In Ny were having a crime spree with people stealing G37 wheels.I'm a member on G35 NYC and we have had numerous members hit.I can't stand that people need to take other people's hard earned property

All I can say is thankfully you have insurance that will give you a nice big check towards those wheels. You can get yourself a very nice set of aftermarkets for only $500!!.That and they put your car on blocks in such a way that there's no damage to the car.Alot of times they put blocks right under the side skirts or use milkcrates which destroys the side skirts ,Rotors and sometimes even the fenders and 1/4 panels

Btw wheel locks are a joke. All it usually takes is an extra minute per wheel for professionals to take them off.

Sorry to hear your misfortune and goodluck with the new set
