I just want to drive a Z06 for a little while. When my NOS is done on my G then I'll be look'in for a ricer racer to dust.

How far along are you in the planning stages of the nitrous system? It's an intreguing concept. I'm pretty sure that the 350Z entered into the SSC Ultimate Street Car challenge is bottle fed.

edit: I was wrong. It's super charged. That would probably be the better way to go. You'd get the nitrous like kick, and wouldn't have to refill the bottle. Of course, you'd lose the... "Little for the car, little for the driver. Little more for the driver, some more for the driver... eh, **** the car!" ;)

Actually I am just getting the information and materials. My husband wants to put it in. He is not a mechanic but has experience working on cars. It really isn't a priority, I just don't think that any other mod is really going to benefit my cars performance. And the NOS will just be for special occasions.

If I had a G35C, I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to do big mods either. The car is setup well enough, and can hang with most of what is out there. Of course, if I had a G35C, I'd be so freakin financially leveraged that I wouldn't have money to modify to food budget above the Top Ramen level, much less my ride.

But hey, if you've got a good guy who is keen to feed your need for speed... then by all means, let him have at the project!

I would do it myself if I knew how. I put my Injen CAI on all buy myself and nobody was home to help me anyway. If there are directions I can do it.

ok, saying I want a Z06 as a daily driver is like saying you want to haul 6 sheets of plywood on your Harley, just don't work

comparing the cars is like me to Hitman, one is dull and boring but capable, the other is big powerful, and surprisingly nimble (also has very little room for "baggage" and not very efficient on anything:D

The G has pretty tight suspension. I wouldn't call the ride motions luxurious by any standard. Yes, I've ridden in one. The Z06 probably rides abot the same, but it's not like the shocks are solid steel rods or anything. On the Z they are.

It still needs another coat to darken it up a little.

does the big peice of plastic serve any purpose other than dress up?

plastic under hoods turns me off, I've always hated that trend in the auto world, just more to take off when you gotta get down to business...

I likes to watch my movin' parts!

color coordination is cool though, it looks neat

There was no plastic added. I just painted existing parts that were already there. The reason I painted it was because my intake tube was blue (the only color in stock at the time). The V6 logo was red and the washer fluid cap was a different color blue.

I know, I was just referring to the trend of makers putting them on the engines to "dress" them up.

I didn't know if it served any purpose for the car or not

I just like to see what motors look like under the random stuff they seem to put on them now...

how close is your washer fluid to matching the rest of the blue?:D

Yes, it does serve an actual purpose. Sound insullation. The more plastic you got between moving parts and your ear, the less you hear of it.

that's kinda neat looking

makes me wonder why they didn't just put infiniti on that and not use plastic though, car companies are just weird...

I kinda like the cover. But thank god everyone doesn't like the same thing or it would be a boring world.

Audi makes their engines pretty so they don't have to be dressed up. The plastic cover over one of the cam covers in the '03 Accord serves to keep underhood temps down. It's high quality thermal plastic, and the underhood temps were noticeably higher when I took it off once.
