Take a stock 240sx Hood VS a stock Silvia hood (s13). The silvia hood right off the bat is going to have more drag then the 240 hood, because the 240 hood comes down in the middle, like points down. The silvia hood does not, it is slightly curled. What happenes at slightly high speeds in a RWD car or any car for that matter? Back end dips, raising the front up a little bit. I do not think i need to explain the rest, enough stress anywhere is going to cause it to break, But i think hood pins are only needed on certain types of hood designs. More of a better safe then sorry type of thing.

Ahhh i understand, priority first.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Ghasty, window tint is a must, especially out here. That'll be one of the first things I do once I get it tagged/street legal. I'm leaving it stock body right now, no aero. I'll see how it does on the street as is, it's already pretty low. As far as the corners and bumper lights, they're oem corners and amber lights that are both being "smoked." Hopefully they'll turn out decent. I'm really thinking about Type X lights but some other things must come first, like A/C lol.

well one of the hoods that flew up was a stock style VIS hood for an s13 w/ popups. the other was a vented silvia hood. those are just two that ive seen personally, ive heard of much worseGhast wrote:Just to throw it out there, It ALL depends on how the hood is made.

Kinda. When I first talked to him, he was getting his own shop but working with him still. When I took the car to him, he had just moved to his new place.ShereKhan wrote:NOT SCRAPE YOUR CAR! THATS NOT THE AZ WAY! Did you go to poe for the paint?
