Being 1700 miles away from my car does not lend iteself to being able to get good photos of updates and such. Turns out an old man (The Fatman, Steve), and the boys at the shop don't care much for snapping photos while they work.
So, in your minds eye, picture this:
The Fuel cell was dropped 5 inches to help lower the COG.
Because of that, the exhaust was moved and now exits right behind the driver in front of the rear wheel opening.
The front tension rod brackets were beefed up and re-engineered to handle the additional torque put on them by better brakes and grippier tires.
Other stuff going on:
New injectors have yet to go in...been too busy to go through the process (new injector design, etc makes things complicated).
WE HAVE A TIRE SPONSOR! Two sets and a couple spares for Pikes Peak, with a chance to get a full sponsorship after the race. Go check out
http://www.federalmotorsports.com and check out the FZ-201 Semi Slick. We will be one of the first three teams to debut the tire in the US. Reports we get from teams using the tire overseas is Very Positive.
The car is in a Time Trial event at Texas World Speedway this weekend with NASA pro driver Mike Patterson behind the wheel. Testing the new front setup and working to dial in the MOTON suspension.
Getting close.
Thanks NICOclub, as always, for your support and encouragement.
