So finally got the 08 non sport bumper put on, but my buddy Josh who owns the shop doest mix his own colors or whatever, so he gets them from other people and they messed up the paint they gave him for my bumper. The bumper came out looking like a dark silver or gun metal. Bottom line the color difference stands out like a sore thumb. I'm happy with the way it looks on the car but again dissapointed at all the wait (he had the bumper for like 3 weeks and my car for 3 days.)

The T-Rex grille set up I got looks good also but another mishap was that I was under the impression that the bumper grille was going to be a stand alone unit but that's not the case. The bumper grille actually goes over the OEM plastic "grille" on the bumper and I never purchased that, and there was no way he could've put it on there without the OEM grill. I bought it when I got home, it was like $63 shipped, oh well.

He left the bumper on with the main grille and no grille on the bumper in the meantime, once the bumper grille gets in he'll repaint it for me. I hate waiting...

This is when it was still at the shop... Notice the color diff.

Saw a M37 Hybrid today. The only difference form the M37 are the HP and the badge (that is what the Mech told me). The mechanic who let me try it told me that it has almost 340HP. He went all technical on me and I forgot because of the torque. I asked the price but because it was only there for a few hours nobody could say how much it would cost (the GM guessed more than a M37 but less than a M56). I guess some car magazine people were there driving it when they experienced some engine/tire or some kind of problem and drove it in to get fixed. When I was outside taking a break waiting for my car to get finished when I saw the car and did not know it was a hybrid. The cool mechanic that hooks me up when ever I visit asked me to check the car out. I told him yeah that is a cool M37 then he opened the hood and I noticed the engine looked a lot different. I also noticed that when he started it up it had a nice growl. He told me that he was taking it for a post maint drive and asked if I wanted to ride with him. He told me that if I wanted drive it. I said no until we left the parking lot then I told him I wanted to drive it. He pulled over and I took over. Lets just put it this way, I have owned a few fast cars but none have I ever experienced the early speed like the M37H. The Mech and I felt like two little kids that stole our father's vet. I did not like the steering and felt every bump on the road but the speed was awesome. But I think that is wat Nissan is trying to do and that is produce a sport luxury car vice a luxary sport car. BMW does the same and I feel more response on corners and the road. When I owned my C55 the dealer said that the car was a luxury sport car and not a sport luxury car. And I now know what that means (the C55 was fast but not around corners and the steering did not make me feel confident when I took sharp corners). The guy in my next office ownes a M35 and taking rides in it I now know what they mean. He can take any corner and any speed and I do not feel like we are loosing control.
I liked the interior accents and Navi unit but I did notice the seats did not feel as nice as I would expect. My wife's seats have much more cushion and comfort (her seats fell like lazy boy recliners). I wish Nissan chooses the right combination (sport luxury or luxury sport) to the extreme because when you compromise then the car suffers.

Nice review, thanx. Yeah, the instant acceleration of an electrical motor is impressive!

Off-topic (so what else is new here...). I downloaded the first release Candidate for Internet Explorer 9 today. I was running the 9 beta version. Now on this site I am unable to get the downloaded images in our posts. When I post an image and preview it, it works fine. But then when I post it all I get is the little turning/churning circle meaning it's loading-but it doesn't. All the images by others show the same churning/loading circle on all the threads in the forum. On other forums I am able to get the images just fine. Anyone else notice this?

PS Did my Palin cartoon post? All I get is the loading circle on my final post.

Ok, so I went to Austin today to see if my car was in the Uprev database (they hooked up their laptop to my ecu) and lo and behold it was, so I dont have to wait a month like they were saying, for whatever reasons to get chipped/uprev'd. So they set me up for tuesday at 1 PM.

It's going to cost me $575 with taxes for the the chip/uprev and a couple of dyno runs is included on that price, I imagine with and without the chip. I asked him if we could do a run with and without my Injen CAI and he said yes, but it was going to cost extra. So if any of you guys wanted to chip in for this runs, I'm game. I'm not trying to jip nobody out of money but I dont feel like I alone should pay for something that's going to benefit everybody in the M community, so if we can get the $ together paypaled to me, I'll get you guys the dyno sheet for the Injen CAI... if you guys want to do this I will throw $10 out of my own money, I think he said $75 extra for that run so we need $65!!! No bull.

Also when I pulled up to their establishment they were dynoing a Nissan GT-R... it was sickening... they are trying to break into its ECU and come up with tuning software or whatever it is techies do... here's a few pics.

so i made it home after a 14 hour work day in the freezing weather to see that you have all turned on me. Upon further review of the pic, i can see how that is a thought bubble, however I have never had a thought originate from my neck so at a quick glance it was mistaken for a speaking bubble given its poor placement. I am aware that thought bubbles have multiple bubbles like that and speech bubbles are one bubble with a point on them at the mouth. To make a long story short, my point is... your moms are wh0res and i hope all your engines start consuming lots of oil!........................just joking about the oil part though.

yes i get why the thought bubbles are blank. I was just explaining why at first glance i believed it was a speech bubble rather than a blank thought bubble. I do get the fact that shes perceived as dumb so even her thoughts are blank, im still confused as to why the majority of the people that live in your state voted for her to be a heartbeat away from President?!

Oh you know good and well I got it, the "it's a thought bubble not a speech bubble" was supposed to imply the same hint.

I really dont think UpRev will help very much on a GTR, the GTR is really well tuned and has hand built engines as it is. There wouldnt be much headroom for gain I dont think. Maybe if you mod the crap out of car and get it re-tuned, but getting an UpReve for a stock GTR would be pointless.
