Yes yes, my first car. Ive been looking seriously for about 3 months but ive wanted this car since I started gettin into cars (around 10 years old). Its my dream come true. Ive had the best day of my entire life driving this car. But ill save you the b.s. heres my new baby.

More pictures tomorrow when I spend half of my day cleaning and detailing it. Thanks for looking.

I paid 4900 for it. I know what ALL of you are going to say "DUDE WHAT THE EFF I COULD BUY AN SR SWAPPED 240 FOR THAT" Its got 135 000 KMS which is about 70...80 miles? correct me if im wrong. But yes i paid 4900 for it because of the shape that its in, the cleanliness of the interior. The fact that it has 0 rust. (i live in the worst weather ever as you can see in the pics. theres ALOT of snow. Anyways yes this was the 4th one that i looked at and as soon as i saw it I knew that this was my first car (kinda like love at first sight?) okay now im ranting.

My plans for the car are pretty extensive but ill give you a lay out. 1. fix ALL the small mechanical issues i.e. the small idle issue, the new clutch has a bit of play in it, and a few other little things that the inspection came out with. 2. Get all the suspension out of the way, bushings done etc etc.3. I gotta get some new wheels. havnt decided on the ones yet but im thinking a nice black with a polished lip would give my car a nice effect. While doin that ill get some tires for the summer as well as the ones are the car are winter tires.4. I am going to have to do a silvia front swap. I cant resist it. i know that after all this, a motor swap should be done but why have a fast car when you cant show it off a little you know? plus my hood has a bit of paint fade and some small non visible possible rock scratches? cant see them when you look at it but when you put your nose up to the hood u can see them. 5. after all that Ill swap in that sr20. after i get to know some guys around town who can give me a hand with the wiring and such.

Sorry for the long post but you asked!

yes and im sure everyone else would agree with you but up here in canada its different. i looked at a few for 3500 and they were probably on their last year of life stock. found a clean black hatch in the next province for 5000 but it was too much of a drive. His asking price was 5400 and i got him down to 4900. I walked at 5 and said give me a call if you wanna sell for 4900. He called a day later and the deal was done. So Id say I got a good deal but that could be just me. Its a reliable first car which is good to hear that it wont take a crap on me until I get my swap.

Very clean, and tough to come by up there. I paid $3250 for mine in '03, it was garage kept by a little old lady.

i cant disrespect someone who paid for something they wanted.

my first coupe (in sig) i paid 2500 for, only firing on 3 cylinders and missing interior pieces, gauge cluster didnt work. but it was a coupe, it was black, and it had a manual transmission.

PLEASE tell me thats the factory paint

Ha well you have one damn nice car. And yes factory paint. Dont know the exact name of the paint color nor the code. Maybe someone wants to help me out with that? thatd be great. ill do a search as well. So I have a question. What do the shops do when they say you need a "tune up" what exactly would that cover. Like replacing plugs, wires, checking fuel pump, water pump and all that jazz. or is an actual scan of the ecu and tuning the engine.

plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, check all your s*** and fluids like differential fluid. check your sensors like o2 sensor, tps, etc. replace as needed. i dont do "tune ups", i do year round replacements. makes it easier on the wallet. i'll do the fuel filter one month, plugs/wires another month, cap/rotor another month, etc. and i do that every other year. but i also only drive my car during the summer and only locally. oil you obviously do a whole lot more often.......

There is no way that is factory paint. And if it is, slap me and call me a hoe.I have never seen a purple 240sx that was not re-sprayed.

There is also no black body stripe around it, which leads me to believe they were taken off when resprayed and not put back on.

either way, beautiful car!

Best friend lives up there and she's only seen one 240sx up there, that's why.And I said "up there" not "up here" PA winters suck, but no where near as bad as Canada's.

http://www.nadaguides.com/defa...da=-1 The 89's are now classic cars. The value jumped around $2000 since january.I see nothing but value rise on all the 240's once they hit this point.Op very nice but not too big on the wheels.

Thanks guys for all the compliments. ill get some more pics up here in a second. Couple things i noticed today while doing a very long and detailed wash, dry, clean, wipe, clean again, wipe again, vaccum etc etc. The black strips on the wheels are only on the left hand side of the car. which i never noticed until today. leads me to beleive that it was in an accident possibly. Information report came back clean. Im the 3rd owner of the car and the second owner was a mechanic in calgary so maybe he swiped something then decided to put those black strips on? No idea.

But I also have never seen this color on a 240. quite frankly i love it. Its a really dark purple maybe even a dark burgundy but at night it looks black and during the day its got a nice reflective purple "candy" i guess would be a good term for it. Dont know the name of it so i dunno. I just remember seeing that paint code sheet on here and it said "violet" or something rather dont remember it was awhile ago. Thats why i said it was stock paint but now im reconsidering. None the less, its my favorite color that ive seen on a coupe so far. I think some black tint and some black rims w/ polished lip would accent the car real well.

Thanks for all the compliments guys

^After ramblin around in the glove box i found the eagle alloy hub caps. I test fit one, forgot to take it off, took it for a spin and lost the hub cap. meh. whatever.^This guy came with the car. Its not working properly, its a very very quite sound coming from it. Might be just a faulty wire, all my other speakers which are alpine componant speakers work perfectly.Random back seat picture ^^ after the wash i went over the emblem with a shammy and a peice off the X just fell off. Anyone have some spare emblems they wanna ship to canada? Btw thats not rust behind the enblem is just a crappy paint maybe a glue.

^ no black strip... ^ the center support has paint peeling off at the bottom....hmmm is it asking for silvia??
