Hey everyone from the Triad of NC! I purchased a 2012 Infiniti M37x in Storm Front Grey with the Premium package, Deluxe Touring package, & Java leather in late October 2024 with around 173k miles. The car spent its first 40k miles or so up north before being bought in VA and then sold again in NC. Found it on FB marketplace after looking for a decent car to drive for a daily. It was a unique situation as far as how the purchase went but once everything was settled with the lender it went well. I initially had my local Nissan dealer do a pre-purchase inspection on it. I knew it needed valve cover gaskets but it turns out it also needed a rack and pinion..... I still made the decision to buy the car even though I knew it needed some other things addressed. I ended up replacing the valve covers and gaskets myself and had Nissan do the rack and pinion. Going to the Infiniti dealer was out of the question considering it would have cost $6k there versus $3k at the Nissan dealer. Paid around $1500 for the rack and pinion job at Nissan. I learned a lot from YouTube university about this car lol. Or at least the VQ37VHR it has. I will put a list of things I did to the car below but overall I'd say the car is a blast to drive. I did most of everything on the list. I do have my concerns with the coolant issues and transmission issues I'd like to address too. But I am actively working on it. Either way I'm satisfied and will be posting updates periodically and will reaching out to the community for advice. One day I will upgrade to a newer Q70 model
