I'd probably consider this G35 if it was September, the month of the year when I have the most cash, and I was able to sell the Seville for a few grand. I also wouldn't pay more than $7900.

For you Jesda.. and only for you $8500.

Already sourced a local Black Bumper for $80.. Talk about good luck. ...

Seats.. ?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-REAL ... 469wt_1050

Radio looks to be about $200 for the Double Din kit + basic radio.

I'm considering getting the roof trunk and hood resprayed, my brother knows a guy who preps cars for the auto auction that can do it inexpensive/good. $300

I have the CEL fix kit installed since this weekend.. I think one of the O2 sensors is faulty.. $50.

$1000ish to fix the issues.. I think I can get that back.

You cannot sell an Infiniti G35 with generic crappy ebay racing seats. NOBODY wants to buy a luxury sports car with seats the belong in a $1200 civic.

I think you need to keep this car.. keep the Versa.. there is nothing wrong with a Versa for a family hauler. You'll get good reliability, good mpg, and it's safe enough.

It might be better to take the cash and start a 529 plan. Even state schools will cost an arm and a leg by 2029.

This^ . Plus you can easily fit a baby seat in the G, so you might as well keep it, and invest the money you would have wasted..er..spent for a Cayenne on a college fund. Jesda's right. College is expensive now, think about how much more expensive it'll be when your kid is old enough.

Yeah, it's a quality seat.. they run like $600ish each and they are hard to get. I think he was referring to the seats I linked that are ebay seats.. just to sell it.

I don't like my wife driving the baby in the Versa. She can't drive a stick and I really can't see her driving the G35 anyway.

I would love a Panamera.. but not yet. In a few years I'll be able to buy a New Panamera Turbo.. Cash. :dblthumb:

I have said it before, a baby is at least 18 years of debt. Why compound that with a car payment too?

Cayenne = 20k (used) G35 Sells for 8-10k

Total difference is 10 - 12K out of pocket. $200ish per month if I were to finance the whole thing.
I'm already in the top 10% in income earners, soon I'll be in the top 5%.

Not really a huge difference, I live the past 5 years with a $550/mo payment with the G35.. I'm going down to a $200 - 250 Payment while providing a safer form of transportation for my family.

Again. Not a huge deal for me.

If you want one that's beat up with high miles.. yeah, you can find them for $9k.
But, the average G coupe has less than 100k miles, both standard leather power front seats, a good paint job, a working stereo system, etc.. For those reasons, Kenrik won't be able to get much for his car.
If you want one cheap... buy his!

Buy mine.. seriously.
It was well maintained, the oil and other fluids changed on time. New clutch 10k ago. New wheels/tires (2k miles). Aside from what's listed it's a great car and i'll let it go for 9k cash.

Most will be rebuilt titles... or owners who did not change the oil very often. So yeah.. under 14k you're going into risky territory unless you have a reputable seller (like myself) :dblthumb:

Ok, I assume the G35 is currently your DD and the little Versa is your wife's DD. If you replace the G35 with an Cayenne Turbo S, and you don't want your wife driving the baby around in the little Versa, does that mean the Cayenne becomes her DD and you take over the Versa as your DD?

Because if the Cayenne is to become your DD, what's your wife supposed to do if she has to go somewhere with the baby?

My commute is long, the Versa would be my daily.
When I'm home my wife always makes me drive.. that would be my time with the Cayenne + she has wanted the Cayenne for a while now.

Mine wants one too.

New ones base at like $47k, but I'm not sure you can actually GET a base Cayenne. Porsche probably has a "blast ended skrewt removal package" that is mandatory at $10,000.

I'll probably get her a GS350 or a 4.6L Genesis.

the versa is fine.
Kenrik wrote:So, Cayenne = Performance + Tank.
even if your wife is car savvy enough to recognize when something is going wrong while driving (most women i know wouldn't know the difference, which makes them not bring it up, which makes a tiny problem turn into a huge one), repairs aren't going to be cheap. idk much about cayennes, but specialized tools may be required for the simplest of s***. you claim to make all types of money, but babies aren't cheap. if you can handle it all, fine, but stop with your reasoning because there is no logic to it. just come out and admit you and the wife just want a cayenne and be done with it.
