i own both the Q and an 87 325 is 5spd. i've only owned it for about 4 months now, but i can second everyone about the electrical gremlins. im shocked when i get in and there isn't some kind of light on, or off. my oil light is always on, the level is fine and the pressure is fine. installed a new pressure sending unit, was good for about a week then on again! other than that, love the car. it is soo much fun to throw around. installed an upgraded chip and now even more fun. nothing like rippin through the gears in a small, quick german car!!! that being said, i would NEVER give up my Q! just a different kind of fun. the luxury and performance just can't be matched and it's been one of the most reliable cars i've ever owned. the body and paint can't be beat. the 4.5 engine is engineering genius,,,,,nothing like planting the pedal to the floor at 60mph!!!! wes is right,,,owning a used car, and maintaining it properly is ALWAYS cheaper than buying a new car. every month that goes by that your older car doesn't have anything that needs to be fixed,,,,remember, a new car owner is making a payment................. bottom line, the Q and the BMW are both incredible machines

I have to figure out the part out value but the tires that will come on it are shot. I am keeping my 17s. But I was thinking around 1500 (AS IS WHERE IS). Has 219500 now but will turn 220000 soon. I have to drive it while until I can register the BMW. And it still runs but leakssssss. Had it over 100mph today still pulls like crazy. But I need a change and better gas milage.
