holy hell. i've wanted to do this for so long. very inspiring. if i ever get a spare shell i'll be doing the same. then removing the floor pan, dubbing the fenders and flattening the deck. real truck-ish.

can't wait till it's done. you are fairly local, wanna see it in person. good luck, keep up the work and thread updated.

Ed, I saw u said you were just north of Lynchburg, How far are you from Roanoke? Im pretty close to there and would love to see the car when its finished, if thats cool? Also I was wondering if you might know a guy in Roanoke named Jay that used to work at the Z Doctor, since your fairly close?

hey that looks awesome. just a quick question. I have the same welder but it seems like its too powerful for the sheet metal on the 240...What setting do you have yours set to? Or is it the wire your using? Your welds are coming out way more pretty then mine.

i am about an hour east of ronoke. you can see it when its finished, thats cool. and yeah, i know Jay, nice guy, and he knows his stuff too. he's actually on nico! his screename is nutts510 i think

the welding we were doing last night was on the hottest level, with the wire feed on 3 or 4

lol. I love it I was so gonna do this to my car but then was like.... hum. I have a clean *** car thats 0 rust and it cost me a lot back in the day.

If it were a 100 dollar car id be down though.

Hope it turns out good man, Good luck with it. I think they are neat but discusting at the same time.

If it's not done in old-school Chevy pickup two-tone, OR woodgrain side panels, then it ain't worth doing.
