Hey so i figured i'd share my latest bad boy with everyone here, it's a 1992 s13 chassis, with the silvia front end, it's pretty much fully tuned for drift, and has a LS1 swap in it. it's a built up LS1 motor, making right about 500 rwhp and 500rw torque, all on pump gas and it's a sick smooth power curve and ride. i think these motors will catch on as time goes, a little spendy right now, but WAY WORTH IT. it's soooo easy to control and drift that it's a no brainer. no more clutch kicks and beating up your spendy turbo setups, it's already all here. just get in the gas and feel the tires break, all while dumping smoke and gaining speed unlike the turbo monsters, you can dig out of corners in a higher gear than a turbo and not need to shift so you get more speed easier.

anyways, enough on my theory, here's the car.

if your interested in it more, then check out a newer site it's

http://www.SilviaV8.com

its a free site dedicated to 240's and v8's.

anyhow, here's the stats

that's not all, but it's a good start, you get the idea..

here's some pics, but before that, here's the people that have sites, that are note worthy

http://www.SilviaV8.com

this is where i have a complete swap documentary, if interested check it out for detailed pics and how-to's on the LS1 into S13.

http://www.rpmsigns.net

This is my go to guy for anything vinyl, if you need any vinyl, hit him up, great prices and great vinyls.

http://www.hinsonsupercars.com

this is the first company to make anything for the LS1 240 swaps, Brian's really cool and if you need anything for the swap he can help ya out.

http://www.vividracing.com

i bought the chassis from Vivid Racing and they are really cool people, a huge shop. so I support vivid racing.

oh and yes this WAS the Vivid Racing 240 that had a ka-t in it. I bought it a while ago and did the swap myself. to clear that up, our goals are to get into the Formula D pro drift and go racin!

and that's about it's life story, minus a few details (well since i've had it) we're awaiting the June 1st when we can run the car on the track again, so until then, i'll have a vdeo up of it in action.

hope you enjoy the swap and yeah

oh thanx guys! yeah those wheels are Enkei RP03 18x9 in front, i forget the offset, i think +20.... and they have a sweet dish to them, i still love 'em.

those are the Rotora 6 piston calipers 13.7" rotor

haha yeah it's kind of a spendy swap, but i'm thinking long term on it. it'll take a hella beating before it'll wearout, it's made to run litterally 3 hours of 6500rpm on a circle track full throttle, so it'll take the small abuse of drifting nicely.

alkhemik,oh yeah you can come by sometime, i'm home now for a while so feel free,i'll pm ya on that.

again thanx for all the nice comments!

Saw the car at HIN, felt bad for it, that thick fmic with no ducting whatsoever looked like overheating waiting to happen.

SO this is the new bandwagon. Well, its still cool, but the color and exposed carbon fiber is waaay too over the top for me.

yeah i'm deffinitly going after some mags haha hopefully modified, i have to send a CD with pics and info to them i think..

yeah the car wasn't running about 1/4 throttle, the fuel pump wasn't keeping up with the demand, since then i've changed everything about the pump and so it should be ok now, i'm hopefully going to test it out this weekend, b/c it's not technically road legal,it's hard to find a place to run it on the road.

we'll be there on June 1st hopefully (great video op) with it running properly i can easily slide that entire bank with no problem, i know alot of guys were having troubles there, but that's no biggy for this beast.

yeah the fmic actually was ok, i didn't get it overheated, had some pretty good fans behind it pullin air. yeah it is nice going NA though, it had massive problems with wiring, and the setup, it's 100 times easier to work with now actually. I kept losing the turbo gasket on the manifold and with na, if you lose a exhaust gasket, it's just loud, doesn't affect the performance, that's nice.

hmm, do you mean the hinson kit? i'm a little confused on bh kit... I had all my own fuel system in the car, but i'm not sure about the 225, i don't think it's enough. a walbro 340 is though. the motor has to at least get about 60psi of fue pressure consistantly to run right, atleast mine's that way, so if your pumps rated for 60, then yeah should be fine.

yeah we were having issues that we figured out today haha. i was running the maf right against the throttle body and it was messing up it's readings. here's our "DIY" cold air haha. it cost about $30 for the 4" dryer blower ducting, duct tape, a couple clamps, and a universal ricer filter haha. Did that and also, because this was set for circle track, it doesn't uset eh speed senosr, and i had that plugged in, i unplugged it and it ran perfect finally. i knew it was some stupid things but yeah that's why it's a hybrid i guess haha.here's a pic of the ricer cold air haha

Ive been thinking of going v8 also but the lexus sc400 all alum, quad cam and a supra 6 spd. did you have any clearance issues with the wheel wells?

i'm not sure about the quad cam, i didn't have any issues with head clearance, but the ls1 is a center cam, push rod engine, so it's probably a little skinnier. well i just measured it, from rocker arm cover to cover, it's about 21 1/4", it's about 34 1/2" from the inside of the strut to the other side and i have about 6 1/4" from the outer most part of my head, to the strut tower.

hope that helps.
