with regard to the FACTORY SIL80/ONEVIA etc debate, let me tell u for a fact the following:
Sil80's were factory produced by NISSAN... at first they were done in shops by drifters who crashed their 180sx and couldnt afford new pop up front ends... so silvia fronts were used... NISSAN saw this trend evolving so released a limited run of 500 GENUINE FACTORY SIL80's... these had upgraded suspension, SR20DET engines and lots of other little tweaks, designed purely for drifting and racing...
Onevias were never produced by nissan and r just done by shops and ppl such as myself for ppl who want the popup front end on their silvia's
Convertible Silvias (Verts) were NOT produced by nissan.. they were made as normal sivlia's, then taken to a company called AUTECH, who turned them into convertibles.. they were then given back to Nissan and sold as convertible silvia's... as such, they r definitely a nissan, but they r not convertibles from the factory... it is also a giant head fck getting parts for the Verts, as any parts to do with the convertible roof/rear quarter windows etc, have to be sourced from AUTECH, tho u have to go thru a nissan dealer and nissan dont have any part numbers for Vert parts... my friend also just paid over $900 for window regulators for his Vert, so they aint cheap either.
Autech also tweak the Stagea to create the 260 RS.. normally the stagea comes with the RB25DET 4WD, but Autech make them with full GTR running gear, including engine etc etc...
