OK guys, it's been long waiting but here it is! The AIT Carbon Fiber Trunk!

I want to thank AIT for giving me a shot on a full sponsorship on the lid :yesnod

First Impressions: 1st Class Product! Fitment is perfect! The lines of the trunk absolutely carries the body lines to the back end. The integrated spoiler is just drop dead sexy and gorgeous.

Weight: I weighed the stock trunk that had the G35 spoiler on it and it weighed in at a heft 22 lbs. I weighed the AIT trunk, 6lbs! :naughty:

When you buy the trunk that's all you get. The trunk trim piece (above the license plate) is NOT included. I bought another trim piece and CF wrapped it so it matched the trunk.

OK,.without further adieu, Here are the pics! :woot:

If you guys like it, I can talk to my contact at AIT to see if they would be interested in doing a Group Buy and then proceed from there.

The Trunk Trim I did myself! It was not joke to do but I've been CFing almost everything I can get my hands on..including my wife's bra! :chuckle: To tell you the truth, I'm getting pretty damn good at it if I do say so myself! :yesnod

I'd be interested in a group buy. Question, would painting over the CF be a problem quality wise? And what about the backup cam attached to the oem trunk, would I be losing the rearcam option?
Trunk looks sexxxy!

No you wouldn't be losing the backup cam. I have the cam too but the trunk only comes with the cut out for the two lights for the license plate. The hole for the cam you'll need to cut out yourself. Pretty easy if you have a dremel with a cutoff wheel. :chuckle:

WOW! seriously, WOW!

I've said it from the start, this is the ONLY good looking spoiler solution for the coupe.

IMO this is SOOO MUCH MORE SEXIER than the g35 imitation one.

oh gawd Darryl that trunk has TRANSFORMED your car. IT"S STR8 SEX!!!!

I can't stop salivating at that duck tail. it's soo well executed and good looking. I'll save all those pics on the pc now.

BTW..You better be bring your Cayman S down to Carlisle bro..Remember..Nico is not about Nissans / Infiniti..it's the people like you and the rest of the crew on here that makes NICO THE best forum in the world! :yesnod

Definitely the only spoiler I've liked so far.

It's available in their lightweight non-carbon fiber stuff, right, and at, like half the price? I thought I read that somewhere.

I've only seen it in CF and not in any other "lightweight" material. AIT's retail is $845 but like I said, I can talk to my contact and see if a group buy would be possible. Not promising anything but I will ask. :yesnod

I don't think AIT will be offering this in a fiberglass version however, I will be calling them today to see if they will be in the future.

Diamond and everyone else - Thanks for the compliments :bigthumb:

Damn, that looks amazing Darryl. No kidding, if I were looking at my next exterior mod with the coupe, it would be this. Awesome upgrade. Now go paint it, all that black is starting to look tacky ;)
