I think it's a different Andrew. I'm working "late" today so I can leave early on Friday. Chairs and sunscreen...something I never remember to bring.

And no more purple...bleh! Is 50 enough for the TGIF reservation? Can they even fit 50 at one table? We should just book a conf room at the hotel and do catering from TGIF one of these years.

LBC, thanks for getting in touch with me yesterday in regards to the rooming situation. Appreciate you going out of your way to save me a few bucks. PS- I take cash/check/or paypal lol.

All kidding aside, let me know if I need to give the hotel a call to cancel the original room or if you took care of it...

Bahaha I'm doing the opposite-- getting an alignment after the event. I always manage to screw my alignment when I autocross at Carlisle-- and not from hitting any cones or potholes or running off the track -- it's always from my finale E-brake spin out.

Is it bad you and bart are following me and I havent even looking up the route...... lol jk
I dont think there are any tolls we arent taking I-95

I have an EZPASS I jacked from work in case of tolls, I also have navigation. I can set it for NO tolls....but some of the route may be a little longer....

Stolen E-Z pass.... Saves $30
Getting fired for stealing $30 in tolls and paying a $400 monthly COBRA payment... PRICELESS!

SND, you missed the other option... going the toll route and paying cash!

Here in the NY area, thats like planned suicide, the cash lines are sometimes an hour!

Then theres INVISIPLATE stuff if you were inclined to roll the dice lol..

ON THAT NOTE LET ME TAKE A MOMENT TO REMIND EVERYONE that these rooms are under my name, not yours... If something winds up being messed up in the room and i have to take it out of my wedding money, im gonna be beyond furious. Lets remember to be RESPONSIBLE when in the presence of others, WE ARE NOT ALONE in the hotel, although we have a whole section to ourselves. YELLING OUTSIDE THE HOTEL ROOMS AT NIGHT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED

The track opens early on Saturday, its ok if you arent there when it opens, but you will probably wait in a line, and if you dont have your pass already you should BE THERE EARLY or you will be waiting for a while. Think about this if you are planning on drinking!

Bring SUNBLOCK, A CHAIR, HAT, HELMET, TICkETS, EzPass, MAKE A CHECKLIST.

I was so excited typing this, i want it to be the "ill see you there" post, but I know im not leaving for another 11 hours and I will probably post 5 more times on this thread.

CARLISLE 2011 :mike :mike

Q: Hey LBC what time should I get there?
A: I will be there @ around 2pm, at the hotel, the PARK INN @ 5401 Carlisle Pike - Mechanicsburg - PA Tech inspection ends @ 6pm but we have a reservation for 50 @ fridays across the street @ 8pm If there was a time to be there by, id say 4pm, if not 4pm, def before 8pm!

I think I'll check out the routes to get there before bed. I'll be reaching Franklin Square, NY on Long Island about 2:30PM, and expect to be on the road from there by at the earliest 3 and at the latest 4.

Hey IB if it works out as planned we should be getting off of 287 to 78 at around 3:30ish-4. So if we timed it good enough we could probably meet up somewhere on there, just breakdown lane it for a bit if we have to. Let us know if your interested we can try and make it work.

Really hope we get a free pass to the night club attached to the hotel like we did last year. This lead to firing up the hibachi grill @ 2am and a wide assortment of shens happening until the wee hours of the morning... Followed by a crazy breakfast table at the Denny's next door, they seriously were like wait, how many are in your party. THe locals were looking at us like our heads were on sideways... which for most of us it probably was since day after drunkenness was had by many.

Actually, that sounds right on. It's about 45 minutes to an hour to 78 from my wife's apartment on LI, so we could probably meet up right around there.
