I'm planning on doing my rb car gold (or champagne, current color) with a very dark charcoal bottom. I already finished a complete black interior swap (with z33 seats). It's a pignose, and I'll be running a pignose lip and factory sideskirts and volk se37's. Pics someday... lol

driftin8ez wrote:Funny you should mention that. I think I found a sweet deal on a gt3071rs from a friend at school. Im just not sure if that turbo would give me any usable power??? It's a real garret turbo too! That and maybe a haltech, 2.0 block, hmmm. I have a little something in mind. But seriously would that turbo be any good as a bolt on? New injectors are obviously in order but ya... And good?
I have a 3071r on my CA and it is perfect. I havent had a chance to dyno it yet or get it properly for that matter but it halls. Honestly the car spools up pretty fast considering. It hits full boost at around 4200rpm and pulls all the way through the revs, i seriously got scared the first time I punched it.

You will love this turbo.

On 15psi my car runs away from friends sr. His sr made 318hp on his 2871r.

Dyno sheet coming soon i hope...

wow... So what should i offer this guy for the turbo? He said it has less than 1000 miles on it. i was thinking of low balling him at $300 and see what he says.

i doubt he will take $300 but you never know. I think $300 is a good place to start though. you might end up spending between $400-500 on it. I wouldn't pay anymore than that for a used one. I would rather you get a new one though, you just never know what you are getting with a used turbo. Good luck and keep us updated.
