HKS GT-RSPE 1820PE 1420Tomei B7652

they're all bolt on... all relitively the same cost..Anybody running any of these? I know somebody is running the HKS.. What about the others? What are your thoughts? If you could, which one would you get?

I like the GT-RS. But the tomei is calling my name, and its a little more realistic for my goals.

Here's what you need to get 400whp (GT2540, S13 SR20DET)

Stock manifold with TIG welded 35mm flangeGT2540 (.86 A/R exhaust housing.. TIG weld the flapper shut)Tial 38mm gate

With the correct fueling mods, and good tuning, this setup will yield 400whp at around 19-20psi on stock cams. Put in some JWT S3's or S4's with cam gears (to dial out overlap), and you will reach 400whp at around 17psi.

I can't figure out what's the correct name for it.. GT25R or GT2540? Some places call it one.. some call it the other.

GT25R is cool but a bit laggy for my liking. plus it's a ***** to fab an intake pipe that clears the PS pump nicely without immediately reducing to a 3" pipe (so what's the point of the 4" inlet that tapers way down anyway in this case?). my vote is the PE1820, but i can't afford that so i'm having something custom built.

It's as bolt on as the GT25R and probibly any others on the list. It's cheeper, and it's very autocross friendly. I'm not shooting for even 300 RWHP I figure 260 to 275 should get me into 12.90 territory and balance is paramont at the autocross. Even the T25 @ 12 PSI can be a handfull around the cones but I still wanna beat up on old guys in Corvettes :D

I just installed my 1820, and that thing is baaad. Boosting 9 psi is just as fast as my t25 at 14 psi. SAFC is telling me that the stock MAFS is maxed out at 9 PSI!! Damn I need a z32 maf.

The kit is completely bolt on.

ok, since this is my post, I feel that I can add this question. In lew of the recent 240's increasing popularity and my finishing my sr project (the engine anyways), I was wondering what performance car would you all buy. Supra, Rx-7, 300zx, 3000gt, celica, Imprezza, Mustang, To tell you the truth the only car I've ever had is my 240, so I am ****ing clueless about any other type of car. maybe even a civic hatchback......ok maybe not a civic, I'm just looking for other options. Of course, if my car doesn't sell I'll just keep it and continue on. And hell, that's fine with me to. Let me know what you fine gentelmen think, and let the flaming begin.

well obviously i have to flame you now.:flamer :freak why you want to get rid of it? anyway, questions answered... questions answered...if you are on a budget:

sentra with det or ve swap(very anti civic)350z(only cause you can finance it dawg)new spec v-note: i dont recomend living beyond your means-z31(can do an rb20 swap easy)old z cars(rb25/26 is nice)datsun roadster(i really want one of theese;most beautiful car ever)d21 truck(would be nice with an sr)

maybe a non-nissan(i dunno why)fc rx7miata

if you gots plenty of cashq45(if you knew everything nissan did to make this car, it would be the only option[i dont know, so dont ask :) ])z32(real clean one, do a tt conversion)r32gtr(not as expensive as everyone thinks, untill you have had it for a few weeks)350z(hook it up nice for me)fd rx7(best handling car in it price range)mr2(you better be ready for what your getting into)

theres more, but i forget. hope this helps. keep your 240.

I really think an SR powered 240 is the best all around preformer for the money. I can run with the big dogs and corner with the fly weights and my car is still mostly boltons.

I've also owned a 98 Eclipse GSX, A first Gen MR2 a Swapped CRX, and an AE86 Corolla. Never owned a big muscle type car but my 240 is quicker than pretty much any stock pony car and i KNOW it handles better so i don't really feel the need to do more than ride in one to say I don't need one.

Here's one of a guy making 360whp and a NICE Tq curve. Keep in mind.. this guy has the .64 A/R exhaust housing and internal wastegate... at 18psi of boost. Imagine a .86 A/R housing, and external gate. Let me search around.. I know there's a few 400whp dyno charts around with this turbo..

That's a GT2540.. but with a smaller .64 A/R exhaust housing and keeping the internal wastegate. And at 18psi on 555cc injectors. He's still got more to go if he had bigger injectors. Also, you can up to the .86 A/R housing and external gate.. and make 400whp easily at under 20psi.Travis

Dude, I have a mean exhuast leak on one of the exhaust ports (broke 2 manifold studs "ouch"). So the turbo is spooling up with basically 3 cylinders only and I go positive at 2300 rpm and full boost 3500. What do you think about that. High Spool Series!! Hell yeah.

I dont think the internal wastegates are as effcient as the external. I still cant decide which setup to go with on my car Im thinking of going with the big 28 setup or the gt 30 the disco seems pointless when i can get the gt30 for about a 100 dollars more! what do you think?
