Try cracking open the REAR pressure control valve bleeder/flush valve. Thet might stabilize your rear height control circuit. Be patient-just 1/8 turn at a time on the bleeder.

Actually we did crack the rear. It's definitely cut down on the chatter/groaning on the front multivalvle but the tradesoff has been in the rear jacking up and down over expansion joint/slab hwy.

hey Keith--good to see you didn't get washed out by Rita [i think?].if Tom does decide to contact you for recharge, his rear control valve accum is the small polish sausage type--not the biggun' like mine was.

Tom, what's the 1 week evaluation--keep or put back?

Jay - did you do 1/8 turn or 1/4 turn? Or just barely cracked? I can't remember. I may try barely cracked (if you did more than that) too see what happens.

Definitely better overall but still jacks up quite a bit on the fwy.

Keith - what's the going rate for a pair of front accumulators?

Accumulators are $350/pair. 50% of that for recharges of course.

Try some driveway diagnostics. With the car hot and running in park, bounce hard and repeatedly on each rear corner trying to get it to 'jack-up' as you describe. that characteristic is not a good one and we need to cure it pronto.

Try the same exercise on the front end.

When Jay did the adjustment it did do the jump up (more like stick) then drop after about 3-4 good jounces. My rears had plenty of plush travel. My fronts are rather hard and I could not bounce them enough to see if this same thing would happen.

Why is this so bad?

Is $375 shipped?

pair of accumulators would be about $375 shipped. I can fix the price if you want. Core deposit of $100/accumulators required though.

The thing to try and stop the stick-up/jump is cracking open the front pressure control (right side of car) flush valve. Try it 1/8 of a turn at a time.

Jay, pardon the interuption, but did you ever install the multivalve unit or did you even need to replace it? Just curious.

From what I've heard this is normal. I noticed when Jay started up his a, I could see the suspension move (I'd assume while the system was pressurising).

Do you have any other issues?

sorry for the delayed replies guys--was out of town....Red, It's still sitting in a box in my garage. in hindsight, i'm wondering if the seals are drying out....was thinking of submerging it for a while in some recovered fluid. I'm not real happy with it the way it is now--so still considering using your old one--but it's kind of like the devil i know and the devil i don't....don't want to incapacitate my car in the odd event that something goes awry.

Tom- we definitely did not mess with your front valve--but it's easy enough if you wanna give it a try.

sdc, I'm sure Keith [Texasoil] will chime in, but i believe some rise on shutdown, lower on start. when mine was in chatter mode [before Keith's spillback technique], the left would rise noticeably on start, and lower noticelbly on shutdown. Not as apparent now.

How far does it drop?

My Q45a will hop up once you turn off the key just listen for the front Valve to open...

If it sinks down too far you may need new accumulators.

You should see my Active Q45a jump up after turning it off with the 664 Active Suspension controller set to Low Low mode. It jumps up 2.5 inches.

It is quite slow to drop from HIGH mode though.
