Congrats on the new ride! After you've had her for awhile, you'll have to do a 'comparo' for us. Good luck with the insurance co.!!!

About $135 for an unblemished new one from Joe.

The lower right dash that surrounds the climate and stereo, and the piece around the shifter that also goes over the window switches.

Is yours covered in wood or is it black?

Qboat....sorry to hear about your Q :( I dread a collision as I know it will spell the end for my Q too.

If you are still able to gather parts....I'm looking for the wired remote for the Sony 10 disc CD changer.

You will need a phillips screwdriver.

To remove: You will need to peel up the pad in the center console and remove the screws underneath.

Next you need to pop out the trim piece that surrounds the shifter and you will see 2 screws that hold the front part of the console in.

Then you can remove the center console and flip it over to access the screws that hold the remote in the front part.

Remove the screws and just unplug it ( it has about an 8" wire lead attached). That's about it.

Name your price if you can get the part.

Thanks,

Andy

Sorry for being slow to respond but its been a little busy.

The insurance company coughed up $7,587. USD (including taxes of 15%) for the old 93 Q.

I took that and my piggy bank and purchased a 1999 1/2 (made in March/99) Q45T with 78,900 miles for $14,503 plus 15% for taxes.

What a luxo wagon - adjustable Xenon headlights, automatic trunk closure!

The acceleration seems the same as the 93 but the handling is noticeably softer.

I wasn't sure of the market for parts here in Canada so I didn't buy back the salvage. The car was still driveable so they wouldn't let me grab the ECU or any other engine componenets.

Jesda It wasn't a T so didn't have wood inlay on the stero console cover. i couldn't see how to remove them without damage so left them. I didn't get Need4Speeds deatiled instructions until afetr the dcar was gone.

Need4Speed Sorry it wasn't a T and didn't have the Sony cd changer.

I did get the 1994 technicians manual - 5 or 6 hundred pages of mind numbing detail and the original 1993 owners manuals.

Send me you address I'll mail one or both to you free of charge.

First come, first served.

George
