I have the next batch of Tein S-Tech springs on the way and I am taking DEPOSITS on them, they should arrive by August sometime. I have 5 sets coming, but I can increase the order to 10 sets if enough interest is there, and there are deposits on 2 of them. Price went up slightly to $300 shipped in the continental USA (email me for price w/ shipping to Hi, or Canada), and I will take a 50% deposit to reserve your set (or you can pay in full, it's up to you). My PayPal is [email protected], you can email questions to that address or the address under my profile which is [email protected], or post questions in this thread. Thanks,Kevin

hope i'm not too late when the time comes b/c i wont have the dough till later this month. either way if it comes in december, it will be a great christmas gift to me. i guess i better get the KYB shocks too b/c i know my OEM springs have had it. the rubber boots are practlcally disinigrated. i noticed that when i cleaned under the car the other day.

my car is always hot inside whether driving or other. its like i gotta run the A/C to keep cool. the engine is always hot underneath after even short drives. i've never had a problem and taken very good care of it.

i put synthetic oil in it the other day along with two $1 fuel injector cleaners and i'm getting much better milage already. its amazing.

So there's no more interest in the Tein springs?? Sooo glad I didn't take the plunge and order 10 sets. Looks like they'll be going on eBay.....

Just give it some time. A lot of guys have to ask their wives for permission before they make a move like that. In time you will well them all.

Yeah, and they've practically all bought some already, lol. However, there are a few newer Y33 owners in the "official check in" post that have mentioned a desire to go lower too. Not a big deal, I'm kinda curious how much I could get for a set on eBay anyhow, but I know in time they'll all sell and people will be hitting me up for more.

Just took delivery today of a 98Q, so I'm interested if these springs are the right ones for it. I'm still trying to get oriented as to parts are for what model years and so on...

So, if these will fit my Q, then I too would be interested in putting my name on a set. How soon would you need the $s?

Yes, they are the right springs for a 98. Y33 Q45 is the 97-01 model. There are 3 sets with no deposit, so you can put a deposit whenever you like, but be sure to email me first and see if they're still available if it's 2 months from now or something.

BUMP

I know this will irk the guys that waited 4-5 months for the last batch, but......

the next 5 sets are HERE!! I'm going to pick them up in an hour.

Sorry I've been out of communication, we had our baby boy last week, 6-14-06, little Colin was born. Such a cutie!!

So as I've said, I have deposits on 2 sets, so 3 sets are here, and ready for delivery.

Once the NICO gallery is back up, I'll upload some pics and post up about little Colin Ryuichi.

So when I picked up the springs yesterday, there were FOUR sets, the Fifth should be here shortly. So that means I have TWO sets up for grabs, in stock and ready to ship. I'll give it a week or two, then I'll try my luck on eBay with them.

Hey Kevin. My brother is now looking hard for a Q here in Canada so he wants a set of springs. How much for a set shipped to Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Use postal code T6R 3N3 for a reference for a price. Thanks.

How is the ride with these springs? Will I need some better struts to match the springs? I'm sure you are sick of answering these questions.

RK, Even though the price did go up just a bit, since it's your brother, and you bought some too, just tell him the same price you paid.

Cullenj76, the ride is great with the aftermarket KYB SR's, but they're amazingly difficult to get and very expensive. The ride with new OEM shocks is supposed to be very good according others that went that route. For more info on them, just look a few pages back through the forum, there are a few threads on them, some with lengthy descriptions.

Hi, wanted to ask if you checked if your purchase was authentic. I saw something on the Tein website about S-techs being counterfeited. Can you check and perhaps post some pics?

Here's the link:http://tein.com/counterfeit/warning.html

Thanks,

I deal directly through Tein, and I've brought almost 20 sets of these springs over by now during the past 2 years. I am aware of the counterfeit Tein's though. In any case, I only have one set left at this point. Just about everyone that's bought them is on this site, and can vouch for them and me.

Yes, I still have a set, I emailed you.

There is still one more set that I didn't get when I picked them up, so once that arrives there will be that one last set.

Payment sent. Is there any problems doing an alignment, after the springs are installed?

Just gotta find a shop with a flat load rack, or with very gentle angles on the ramps, then it's no problem. You will have negative camber, but toe and caster should align just right. I ended with roughly -2 front and just a little more in the rear.

So my guy screwed up and ordered 8 sets instead of 5, and they arrived yesterday, sooooo, I have 3 MORE sets of TEIN S-Tech available for the Y33 Q's for anyone interested.
