I agree with all of the statements that dldjros69 has made here. 98% of all of the cars on here are daily drivers, so for them, its pretty much just an expensive way to lower your car/ bragging rights IMO.
I'm mostly interested in coilovers, so I can use the softest springs and the softest damper setting with some big a** front and rear sway bars to have a better daily drive

I prefer coilovers so I can lower the car in the summer and raise it back up in the winter. Not necessarily looking for "expensive lowering", actually I'm hoping they make Basics because that's all I want.

How much of a drop would these coilovers provide? I'm definitely looking for a bigger drop than the eibachs. Thanks.

MY BC Racing coilover review is up: http://forums.altimas.org/zero...lover

Looks like Tein's progress isn't looking any better, not suprised. Prototype version ETA is 2+ months for testing and that isn't even the final production model yet. This could take forever for them to finally come out with a set.

Im definetly up for buying TEIN, this is the first post ive seen about them, ive been waiting for them to come out for forever and haven't seen a post about them yet but for sure we need to push them to get these into development, TEIN is probably one of the only manufacturers i would trust for coilovers which is why i passed on the BC racing. Lets push this!

How about a set of dampers? I'd be happy with a "cup kit" (matched springs and dampers). Most people really don't need coilovers - I know so many people that bought them for the cool factor and have never adjusted them once. I refuse to run lowering springs on stock dampers.

There are quite a few threads that were made about TEIN a while back. TEIN and BC Racing shocks are both made in Taiwan. I don't see much a difference other than cost. TEIN being more expensive.

Its not about where their made its about the reputation and experience, TEIN has been around for a long long time and their reputation has always been for high quality suspensions upgrades, reliable but expensive. On the other hand i have not heard of BC racing and do not know whether they are high quality or reliable until i hear of someone whos had them on their car for a substantial time and can vouch for them.

All I am saying that BC Racing BR series is comparable or better than TEIN SS without the cost. TEIN is not always the best, i.e shocks get blown, not a great ride, etc. If TEIN made their flex series. I would be all over it, but unlikely going to happen. Many people can vouch for BC Racing on their reliability, quality, and price. Just google it. BC Racing does make coilovers for other really good companies.

I agree i'm looking to lower my ride once, in a way that is sustainable. I'd consider Eibachs but if i have to replace my struts after a year whats the point? seems just like a more expensive, less damaging alternative to just cutting your springs (big no no!)

You just click on one of the two choices in the first post on the first page of this thread.

but if you really want coilovers, no point in waiting for teins unless you really WANT TEINS.

we got the cheap ones with k-sport and d2racing and we got the higher end one with bcracing. The teins would be the same level as BC racing's BR series.

didn't install yet, because I need a macpherson spring compressor and I don't have one for this. plus the instructions suck and the coil are really REALLY cheap. don't want to risk it
