On my brother's maxima he has a prototyped 100% CF hood, no fiberglass skeleton and that thing is SUPER light!
No dude,..I'm not saying to use vinyl on the hood. That would be so ghetto I was referring to the roof of the car instead of using gloss black vinyl

yeah I was debating getting that or the regular vented hood

Hahaha, I was gonna say! I hope eBay will eventually do that 30% cash back promotion again sometime soon because they have both the vented and the regular one listed. That would be some major savings. During that time however, I decided to paint my Stillen kit instead .

Well, yeah, but the stock aluminum hood is so light I have to slam mine to get it to latch! How light do you need it?

Now the trunk lid is a different story! Why did they make THAT sucker so heavy?

I love CF but for the price of a couple of good sized panels, you have a pretty good chunk towards a turbo or supercharger! Maybe my priorities are different...

Yes, I'm holding out! You'll have to wait till spring officially hits here - we got more snow last night... I've actually posted a couple of pics along the way but nothing very substantial.... (and it won't rival something like Loop's!)... but pics will be prolific once the ground isn't white here anymore! Lots to show and a bit to do!
