First off I want to say welcome to NICO.

Second of all boy am I glad you came here.

You see on any other forum if you asked a question like that they would probably well I dunno what they would do but it wouldn't be very nice.

Either way, from the questions you are asking I can see that you either have never worked on a car before, or you never have had any experience with boost.

There for I recommend you check out our sticky up top named

GREAT INFO Look here first

In that sticky you will find anything from what your KA can handle, to what you need to turbo charge it.

Also here at Nico we have one of the nicest Search function that will be able greatly help you on your search of answers you might have.

The problem with answering your question is that they are way to general. Differ cars will yield differ out comes with the same turbo. Another thing is I guarantee you that pretty much any crazy questions you have about the KA on your level of expertise have been asked and answered.

And note I'm only judging your expertise by the questions you have asked.

So once again Welcome to NICO. And hopefully you will find the answers to all of your questions.

Thanks,Mike

LOL...

you make it sound as if the ka24det is a factory engine. sr20's are factory, therefore come with a factory hp or sticker hp. think about it... all turbo ka's are peiced together with different injectors, mafs, etc. t3's obviously yeild more power than t2's, and most people that go the ka w/ t3 route upgrade to 550 or 750cc injectors and an accomodating mafs, as opposed to sr's stock injectors are like 370 (i think)...

do some more research..

Well friend, if you have experience with boost and working on cars.

Then you would know that a turbo kit will yield differ results on differ cars.

Also how are we suppose to answer your question when, we don't even know the specs on the turbo it self, no specs on the turbo kit, how much boost your going to run, tuning options, etc etc etc.

I mean **** you can run 500rwhp with a t3/t4 does that satisfy your answer.

If you knew how boost works and the mechanics of a turbo you would know to specify all those things I have mentioned before.

Therefor I gave you the answer I gave you.

Ok homey look.

You are new to NICO, and frankly I would really hate to lock your thread, cause well we were all new once and had questions. And also I would love for you to stay as a member of our great club.

But if you could only please do me a favor and follow my instructions and check out the Sticky I have posted about. I guarantee you will find your answer there and much more.

Also if you use the search function you will see that this topic has been covered at least over a 100 times.

Thanks,Mike

BTW, THIER both great engines, and there is no such thing as a KA24DET, its a KA24E or a KA24DE, only reason we add the T at the end is to let people know that we have added a turbo to our engine.

Wow, you ask a "way too general" question, get some helpful (albeit assumption based) suggestions from a Moderator, then you insult his post??

What kind of cars and "boost" do you have experience with?

Your lack of respect and ignorance to other members is just childish. You're just itching to get banned, aren't you?

Learn the basics, practice a little more on your little toy R/C cars for a living, and show some other members some respect.

Yaaaay, made it in!

Yeah, after a while you'll figure out the proper etiquette on these forums and learn how to rephrase your questions so people won't jump on you.Like you could've asked, "What's the average peak hp for each engine equipped with a T25, 370cc, stock maf etc etc?"

Both KA and SR's are great engines. It's all about preference really.

Well it stinks to lock threads that really show what this forum is all about, the useful and wonderful members not patronizing but helping those with less knowledge. Perhaps leading them down the path of enlightenment so that they too may choose the best course of action for their vehicle...

You know, I wouldn't mind spelling out the Pro's and Cons of the KA to him. Hell, if I didn't have a plate full of food, and a C:S Scrim to get to tonight, I would copy and paste it all in here.OP:If you want to discuss this off the boards, e-mail or AIM me... e_appie (at)hotmail.com or AIM @ EazyE4You

hey vager don't let these guys get to you, they mean well. Like its been said up above, KA24DE and KA24E are engine codes used by Nissan to show what type of engines are in the 240sx's. Since Nissan has never produced a turbo-charged 240SX here in the states, there is no official KA24DET in which you could associate a horse-power number with.

On the other hand, I would have to guesstimate that putting on a T3/T4 kit can yield results close to 300HP+. 300 is usually the magic number to reach for though. Now with that in mind you can say that yes, this type of "KA24DET" engine will produce more horsepower than the SR20DET. However, in terms of which engine is "better", that is an age old debate. If you search and sift through the many pointless threads such as this one you'll actually find some good and interesting SR vs KA threads. See your lucky because all that sifting has already been done for you and all that great info can be found (ironically....but not really) in the "GREAT INFO" sticky.

Welcome to NICO

the guys that say "moderator" under their name have that for a good reason. they have alot of knowledge and experience with our cars. also they can help you not get slaughtered in a bad post. so just use advice my homie is giving you and read that sticky. I garuntee all your questions will be answered in that post. just because you have a ka and turbo it doesn't mean you are going to an exact horsepower and torque numbers. alot things play into that factor that will give power numbers different set ups= equal different results. its simple

there's plenty of good advice and fun jest in this thread. If you ask a mod for help they'll help you, ask members for help, we'll help, but do please search a bit before posting. A little bit of research would have yielded the answers you needed.
