Does anyone know if this compatible with 2009 / 2010 M35? I checked few online sites and it shows 2006 to 2007 and even had the website customer sevice check with Tanabe and they recommended if the OEM part number matches then it should fit. I looked online and OEM part number for the mufflers are the same from 2006 to 2010, my concern if there is a difference in the piping bend / size.

I have an 09 RWD M35 with Tanabe Medalion exhaust. Absolutely brilliant. Great low tone growl when it gets the beans, but near silent at speed in reg drive mode. In DS mode, little louder but never too loud.

Great! Is it loud inside the car? Also, did you replace the mid pipe also or just the mufflers?

Also, can you post a picture of the exhaust from your car please, just wanted see how it looks before I make a decision. Also, did you see any mpg gain?

I was thinking to get the Megan midpipe and the Tanabe muffler. Hope that will work and it will be cheaper than Stillen exhaust system. :)

Well, I'm in the process of buying the Tanabe muffler with the Megan mid-pipe. I will try to post pictures once I have it in hand and after install, and whenever that is going to be. :-)

Sorry, mate. Just seeing your requests now and it's a bit dark and storming. I will snatch a few pics tomorrow and post.
It is loud enough in the car whilst giving it the beans that it sounds throaty and powerful while accelerating, but barely noticeable at hwy speeds. No noticeable drone like a flow master does.
I have axle-backs with the OEM mid-pipe.
To my ear, they have a deeper throaty sound than the Megans.

Thanks!!! Also, in that post it was noted that the driver's side muffler was touching the bumper, looking at the picture I see the upper section of the muffler touching a little or very close to it. I hope that isn't the case when I get mine installed.

As promised. Here are 3 quickies with my phone. Neither muffler touches any part of the bumper or the lower trim piece.

They look much better with the eye and when cleaned and polished. Lots of rain yesterday so a nice coating of road splash on them at the moment.
I believe the muffler shop I used charged me about $100 to install - no extra parts or modifications needed. They simply swapped them out at the flange.

Hi,

I did the exhaust swap today, had a little trouble aligning the muffler tips but got it pretty close and straight, overall the project went well. Also, I did spray some 3M rubberized undercoating on the shields by the mid-pipe area and by where the mufflers are located.

Any idea why there's a pop during engine rev up? This was there before the exhaust swap, is this normal?

Thanks.

Thank you! :)

Also, I am thinking to add some sound deadner inside the car due to some drone between 40 to 50 mile speeds, going to wait a little for the new exhaust to break in and see if will quiet down.
