although i don't believe the newer ones have open diffs. and that i'm sure helps alot.
Only the 03's have open diffs. 04+ has a torsen/helical LSD. They actually dont have that much torque steer stock. Have no idea how it is with 400hp.

I have a bubby who had a SRT-4 and we raced multiple times as I got new stuff and he got new stuff. That SRT-4 never beat me granted it was fun to drive and it feels fast. My 1989 240sx with a SR20DET and a few upgrades never had a problem pulling away from him in the 1/4. He finally got so mad that his SRT-4 was getting walked on by so many other people in town that he sold it and bought an EVO VIII and he has done a few upgrades to that and I have yet to beat him in the EVO. I wouldn't worry!!! The Nissan will come out on top!!!

My buddy has an EVO III stock and I have an SRT4 stock with CAI. Everytime I race my buddy from a roll in my SRT4, I would walk him everytime from 50s and all the way up. You should see the look on his face the very first time I raced him. Both he and I were shock. I also have another buddy that has an s13 with sr redtop stock everything except for KNN FIPKII. We walked him everytime. But the 240s are just so much fun to drive. Don't get me wrong, I love my 240, I currently have a fully built KA engine in it right now, but once I drove my buddy's sr, I was convinced to get an sr. So long story short, I have this front clip in my garage, redtop s13 bought on ebay for $2000 shipped. I have already purchased my FMIC, Fuel pump waiting to be put in just waiting for this cold weather to be over.

Never actually rode in an SRT-4 but I had a friend back in Washington State that had an older Neon. The motor was built from the ground up. All bored out, stroked. Everything you could think of (He was a Master Mechanic/Machinist) and that thing was FASSSTTTTT!!! Unbelievably fast. He was pushing around 400 HP with that thing.

I had a 91 Eclipse back at the time and I pulled up on him one night about Midnight when he was coming home from work and I flashed my lights at him and we hit this long straight away. I lived in the country, rodes are deserted after dark lol. But he downshifted and I hear the BOV go and I knew it was over lol. I hit about 90 in 3rd, by then he was at least 1/8 of a mile ahead of me. It was over before it started lol

He pulled over and we talked for a little bit, but that thing was crazy but then again, I haven't ridden in a built 240 yet The keyword is YET!Anyone in Vegas have a built 240 that I can take a ride in?

Ive been to a "street legal" drag race event at California speedway where I saw a fairly stock SR powered S13 240sx (not stock boost Im sure) do a 13.2 in the 1/4mile. I say fairly stock because I didnt have a real close look at the configuration, or even get a chance to talk to the owner/driver, but I did see a redtop and a FMIC (probably Greddy)As soon as I score a new differential, Im heading to the same track and see where Im at. I do know that I'm just a few feet behind a C-5 Corvette on the 1/4mile and those can do as low as high 12's, with my current configuration. Don't forget to consider driver error when talking about 10ths of seconds though.
