Well, knowing how the cops are around here you probably need the orange tint/ stock housing to get rid of a fix it ticket.

If you want, after you get it written off you can experiment with the different colored lights. Haha, I had a friend put green 5 watt lights in his orange running lights, and it looks sick. I'm just waiting for him to get pulled over though.

yea cops in California are like that. You just need to change the light bulb to orange and you'll be fine. You might know this already but this is for future searching purposes. i just want to let California owners know that the front license plate has to be somewhere on the front bumper so that it can be seen. You cannot have it in the front window, it has to be on the front (BUMPER). It has to be visible for the cops and the cameras to see. This is the law and the police with give you tickets for these stupid problems. (sorry that i sound like a cop but i just want to keep a fellow member from getting tickets)

P.S. think i seen your car a while back at wal-mart in Natomas area right?

You should be fine with just an orange bulb. Many cars have clear lenses from the factory, so I dont think they can single you out.

Yes, orange SHOULD be fine, but hey, I'm sure you will get hassled in some way or another eventually.

I thought turn signals HAD to be orange...

I hate when some of the cars come with red turn signals.

think about the newer cars that have clear lenses stock, they either have orange LEDs or bulbs. Just get the bulbs, all it needs to do is flash orange.

Hey dude this is what i use because i can not stand the look of a random orange glow inside of my light assembly.

They are the "Silver Star" turn signals from "Sylvania" they LOOK blueish crystal when they is no power being supplied to them, and look very nice if you ask me. Then when your turn signal or hazards are activated, they glow a VERY bright VERY distinctive LEGAL orange.

You can KINDA see it in my headlights (the lancer not the bricks on the ground)but when the sun hits sometimes they do show the orange i guess. Mainly blue though

Good Luck!

think about it though, most newer cars that have a clear lens have separate lenses for brake light, turn signal etc.see? i don't know if you can get away with completely clear lenses

I don't really look for colors when i see the blinker flashing. The flashing should be enough, but I guess some people need colors. Good Luck!

and some cars, like a few vans, don't have clear or orange. The brake light just blinks. they just frown upon white blinking ones
